Townes got lazy.

I had high hopes for Charles Thomas and Darian Townes.

Why are we seeded 3 above them but underdogs?

Vegas doesn't care about seeding.

I mean that's pretty fair if we're all honest.

Not saying they will but yea, if they stop Macon, Barford and Gafford, they'll probably win.

Easier said than done.

Pretty spot on especially if it’s a game where Bailey, Cook, Thompson, Jones, Gabe combine for not much production.

They also think they are NOT a mid major

Cause they're not, their conference has 6 bids and two number 1s. They're not a mid major. If you remove Kentucky from the SEC and Villanova from the Big East, the Big East has all time 210 bids with 9 teams compared to 219 with 13 for the SEC. The teams they have now are some of the best hsitorically and on average better than the SEC

Butler plays fast and can shoot the 3.

If they get hot behind the arc it could be a repeat of the Tennessee game if we can't match them shot for shot.

Actually they still are, the conference alignment has allowed them to move in to a more prestigious basketball first conference that enjoyed P5 status when it had schools who were also prevalent in football but Butler themselves are less established in the Basketball world than Gonzaga who is still a mid-major.

When Butler and Xavier were still in the A10, they were still mid-majors.

The term "mid-major" isn't a put down, it is in reference to basketball first schools, those who dropped football long ago or play on the FCS level and have put Basketball as the priority with the same importance as Football is to the Power 5 schools.

Butler is #148 in three point field goal percentage. Arkansas is #15.

Did you actually do the research or did you just make something up?

I think most just go off of what they know of Butler's past teams. This is likely one of their worst teams in recent memory. This isn't Final Four Butler from a while back.

This team lost to St. Johns and Georgetown towards the end of the season. While they aren't terrible, they're not a great team by any means.

Yeah I think most of America is doing that too. They see Butler and assume they will advance. I will be surprised if Arkansas doesn't win.

most people don't realize Arkansas hasn't lost in the first round in 15 years.
