This is the key point. The guy from UNC for example was their leading tackler last year I believe. I don’t care about star ratings when you have actual games stats and experience at the P4 level. This is how OM, IU and TTU built playoff caliber rosters. Fill areas of specific need with guys who fit your scheme.
I’d like some more weapons at WR and depth on the line, but I’m glad they are spending more time on fixing the D as we are void of talent/depth on that side of the ball.

It appears they are focused on locking down elite defensive talent first. Most offensive players are visiting starting tomorrow from what I have seen.
Its a genius move to make while everybody is fighting over QB’s. .

With the new rules there is no spring portal. This is it. Hence the volume of players and urgency from teams to land players now, even if they might be overpaying some.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but pretty sure this is the only portal opening till this time next year.

but it sounded like from what Biddy was saying on DTS the other day that their target number was in the 30's not 40's.... I thought the new number was 105 and I'm not clear on how schollys count at this point so IDK how many actual scholarships we have left and if its 105 scholarships or 105 roster and 90 scholarships. It's all changing so fast it's hard to keep up.

105 roster spots and 105 scholarships I believe. I’m guessing if you “walkon” and make the team you automatically get a scholarship. Though with the transfer rules I’m guessing walkons aren’t really a thing and they’d be encouraged to play elsewhere and transfer in if they improve.
