2022 OT Andrew Chamblee - Maumelle, AR
2021 DL Tyas Martin - Jacksonville, AR
2021 OL Terry Wells - Wynne, AR
2022 OT Andrew Chamblee - Maumelle, AR
quote:
When it comes to future potential, no offensive lineman was as intriguing as Chamblee. The class of 2022 lineman has that long, lean frame you look for in left tackle prospects, and he combines it with a healthy level of aggression that college coaches love. Chamblee’s recruitment is already reflecting that potential, with the home-state Arkansas Razorbacks joined by Oklahoma State, TCU, Tennessee and Virginia Tech as early offers.
2021 DL Tyas Martin - Jacksonville, AR
quote:
It was hard not to notice Martin on Friday. He is a big, barrel-chested young man with the frame to be an outstanding three-technique defensive tackle. On this day his size allowed him to overpower most of the offensive linemen he faced, but size and strength are not his only attributes. Martin just keeps coming after you, and is fairly light on his feet. He has earned early offers from Kansas, Southern Miss and Virginia.
2021 OL Terry Wells - Wynne, AR
quote:
Wells and fellow Arkansan Andrew Chamblee both make our top performers list after good performances by both prospects. Whereas Chamblee is definitely an offensive tackle at the next level, Wells looked best in an interior lineman role. He sets a strong anchor and has active hands, allowing him to handle both the speed and strength from defensive linemen. His day was capped when Wells landed his third offer of the process from Arkansas, which joined previous offers from Kansas and Ole Miss.

247 National Combine
quote:
OL - Terry Wells (392) - The 6-4 offensive lineman from Wynne (Ark.) took a number of reps working at both right and left tackle, and was clearly the top offensive lineman in the morning session. He showed real natural bend and flexibility, placed his hands well and delivered the initial punch in the early run blocking drills than flashed good footwork, with the feet chopping and using his technique in pass pro. Kansas and Southern Miss have offered.
quote:
OL - Andrew Chamblee - The 2022 prospect out of Arkansas stuck out on the offensive line, having some of the best stature and length of the group. He acquitted himself well during 1-on-1’s, winning the majority of his reps. The big-framed bookend tackle holds offers from the likes of Arkansas, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Tennessee and Virginia Tech with the feeling that Oklahoma could be next to jump in the boat.
quote:
DL - Tyas Martin - The Jacksonville (Ark.) High standout was one of the more disruptive players on the interior, controlling the line of scrimmage in run blocking drills and coming on strong later in the day in the pass rush portion. Kansas and Virginia have offered.

Appears to be the typical 3-5 but more linemen and TE's next couple years.

ARKANSAS ON THE COME-UP
quote:
I was struck over the last two days - whether it was at registration day or at the combine - just how many elite Arkansas players are coming up in the 2021 and 2022 classes. It could be a huge boon for first-year coach Sam Pittman with the Razorbacks if he plays his cards right and keeps these top prospects in the state.
I liked 2022 Andrew Chamblee the most. He’s a 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive tackle from Maumelle, Ark., who plays a lot like Texas A&M signee Chris Morris, a four-star in the 2020 class who is slightly bigger and longer.
Then there is 2021 three-star defensive tackle Tyas Martin from Jacksonville, Ark., a 6-foot-4, 315-pound recruit who plays like a bull in a china shop. Terry Wells, a 2021 offensive tackle from Wynne, Ark., landed an offer from the Razorbacks on Friday and that was definitely a wise move, because he looks great as well.

Idk about that. He didn’t impress me much at Florida would much rather have king from Houston

We'll take whoever we can get.

I'd rather have more than 1 option this time around that we want and are actually getting interest from. the settling for hicks last year was weak

Unfortunately, King hasn't entered the portal yet so our staff can't officially contact him. King would have to contact us first.

Ahh that makes sense. Well obviously beggars can’t be choosers so I’m sure Pittman would take him but I really hope if franks is the only guy that’s brought in that KJ wins the job because franks has not impressed me with his on the field or off the field actions

Yeah I’m not huge on Franks either but his 31 total TDs last year would be the most we’ve had from a QB since Brandon Allen. Of course he had more talent around him at Florida than we currently do.
Saw where he’s also considering Washington State and visited Kansas.

King hasn't even said he will transfer. I get the feeling he will stay with UH.

Surprisingly, Kelvontay Dixon is going to take an OV with us next weekend.
