Could that have been a planned move by Muss and Mason? Act like your leaving grab a transfer grad that thought he would be gone, then comeback once he's signed.
It would kind of be an underhanded move to add depth without it looking like Muss's fault.

Obviously he was wrong about when he would make an announcement. With that said, maybe he was going to and is holding off because Moody signed and is doing an Insta live Q&A with Miss tonight. It would suck for for Moody to have Mase steal his thunder
