D2 might be a real rough transition.
Very possible. But I don't care if he played in Little League, .475 is damn impressive.

Exactly. If you're gonna take a chance on a D2 kid, he's the one you wanna take it on

Would love to add a Zach Root or some other lefty, since we'll have a few guys returning from injury and not sure how they'll look and also a big bat at 3B/1B if Iredale doesn't make it to campus. I think the aTm guys are a pipe dream unfortunately.

I would like to see a couple more hitters with HR power.

Just hope our retarded fans don't want to bench him 3 weeks into the season like Aloy.

I wanted Jones to work out but he got pretty hard to defend. Wasn't he hitting below .100 at one point this season?

It was a joke as I vaguely remember him being touted after hitting a grand slam against some bum team.

Jones got plenty of chances, had a good summer last year and having a good one so far in the Cape this year. He will get another chance as you can see it in his swing why he was so touted as a recruit. Just doesn't always work out and I think both sides were ready to move on it sounded like.
We will have a similar OF again, Maxwell is the only one penciled in and the rest will likely swap in and out for a good chunk of the season with several guys getting looks like last season.

In conference games he hit .098, struck out in 50% of his plate appearances, and his OPS was under .500. People thought Helfrick struck out too much and he had the same number of Ks as Jones in double the conference plate appearances.

Weird award. Says it's for olympic sports, but excludes basketball which is an olympic sport.

Well all in all, granted it was a low rated class we got our #2 #3 and #4 top recruits to campus in #56 RHP Carson Wiggins, #109 LHP Cole Gibler and #144 SS Gabe Fraser. Wiggins getting to campus is pretty big fwiw.
Our top recruit, #29 SS Tyson Lewis went 2nd round #51 overall and already said he intends to sign ($1.8M slot).

First few rounds tomorrow are always dangerous if a HS player cut a deal with a huge bonus pool money team tonight.

Yeah Wiggins will probably announce pretty quickly, he has been known to really want to go to Arkansas and as a tough sign to pry away likely led the most to him not getting drafted through the first 10 rounds. Now it is pretty well a done deal and he may be a weekend starter right out of the gate.
Once upon a time it was looking like it would take a miracle to get him to campus.

I've been out of the loop on Wiggins since he first blew up, so I'm shocked to hear he's likely making it to campus.

Lost younger Lovich today but did really well through the draft.
