Serious basketball conversation? Like the kind that suggests the pick and roll/pop is juvenile and beneath major college basketball (as if it's not the de facto offense of the NBA).

That isn't what I said at all. In fact, I said the opposite. You would know this if you paid attention instead of seeking things that "confirm your fricking bias."

What I said is that we use it often. In fact, I said we have been feasting on it lately.

You missed that though because you latched on to what I was saying about it being a basic play that players learn in junior leagues.

Being basic doesn't mean it's beneath a team.

Sorry if I misrepresented you.

But you did say:

If they could run it more and get away with it, they would. These guys are playing high level division one basketball.

And yet, the BEST basketball players in the BEST league(s) run it exhaustively. So your fake outrage about my confirmation bias can get bent. You can frame it however you want, but you're making excuses for why MA doesn't use it more.

It would make sense if his buckets are: Other-worldly coaches (8 total in college), Unbelievable coaches (12), Hall of fame level coaches (15), Fantastic coaches (30), Great coaches (40), etc, etc

Also, if we use your scale here Mike Anderson would fall in the unbelievable category, IMO.

He is one of only 10 active coaches who has coached 10 or more seasons who has never had a losing record.

Pretty fricking impressive considering there are over 300 division one teams out there.

What part of "we go to it often" do you not understand?

Also, if it worked every time we would run it every time.

Jesus some of you guys just don't get it.

Edited to remove insult, with apologies.

Often is relative and your characterization is...subjective.

Yeah, I don't get how grownups can just continuously deny reality or bastardize the English language to support their bias. Lil ole Arkiesaw can't do no better than this fantastic coach.

Reality?

The frickin reality is that Arkansas has won 70% of its games this year.

That's the reality. I'm not the person here who has issues with reality, man.

Ocelot is just a miserable person. He's only happy when Arkansas loses and he's sad when they win. Kind of like Eric Bolin. He hates Mike and Arkansas fans in general.

great. Mike is doing pretty good as long as we keep going to tourney. once you're there it's tough to know what will happen.

I'd be happier if he was recruiting more consistently. Getting outrecruited by LSU, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt in basketball is not ok.

Fantastic coaching. The best. Along with lots of other schools with fantastic coaching, I suppose.

No, no, no. Your narratives keep collapsing. I'm a racist, remember? That's why I want Mike fired (though I've literally never said such a thing).

I'm a realist. Sorry that offends your sensibilites/relative/family friend.
