It is obvious what is happening, but because no one has officially said it more and more rumors are flying around because of the tension of the situation of other jobs opening up.

No. 1, this BOT does not need a bad look after the way the Morris hire turned out. It wasn't all them because there were a lot of people on that committee with influencers, not just BOT. There are people on that board who do a great job in their roles, but those people aren't there to hire coaches. And on top of that it might not have been very ideal for them because not many coaches are going to jump at Arkansas without a sitting AD. But hiring coaches, that's the AD's job...based on the resources the BOT can approve.
The BOT and boosters who did get it right in my opinion were on the AD search committee. Those people really seem to be behind Hunter Yurachek first off, and so far have stayed out of his way and let him do his job while they do theirs. Everyone has a role. They completely made it known and followed that line with Mike Anderson's dismissal and Eric Musselman's hiring.
There may be BOT members with opinions on this and that, but nobody with any real power is standing in the way of Hunter Yurachek making the hire he deems best.
Things can change. Last thing I heard is Leach interviewed Monday, two people removed from the primary source, which makes it too far away for me to say it is 100 percent accurate.
I feel very strongly Lane Kiffin interviewed, and that has been the narrative nationally, as well. I don't know how high or low he actually is on Arkansas' list, however. I have heard from people, can't verify 100 that Kiffin is more intersted in Ole Miss, but again that could be posturing, and it could be that Arkansas isn't as high on Kiffin. Who knows for sure on that, but what I do feel strongly is that Kiffin interviewed. Like I had said, I don't think the Kiffin stuff was a done deal like all were saying Monday.
I do have one source however who feels strongly that it will be Kiffin, but things can get so twisted once you get removed. I've seen people say certain people are saying it's so-and-so, when I know good and well those people have as many questions as the rest of us. Things get twisted, and people hear what they want to hear sometimes. Not always, but the farther you get away from the source the less reliable the information becomes even if it's accurate.
It has been a while since I reported this, but don't think things went very well on initial contact with Mike Norvell. Things can change, however, but that's the last I heard on Norvell.
Lastly, with so much smoke around Kiffin, who everyone may not like but the vocal majority are for, I wonder how this thing goes if it's a less popular name than Leach, Kiffin or Norvell... I just remember when Auburn hired Gene Chizik and people were at the airport booing him. I remember when Tennessee tried to hire Greg Schiano and Clay Travis shut it down and they ultimately got rid of the AD.
