If I remember correctly at the time, PBev felt like their were mitigating circumstances and the coach/school weren't giving him a fair shake.

I met and talked to his mother in Mcgehee a few years back. Her parents live there and she was visiting.
She said Patrick turned in a paper not written by him and got caught, they had to suspend him for a year but he could have returned after the suspension. He had a new child and felt he needed to go pro to help support him. I’m glad it worked out for him but it was all his doing, no one else.
