I remember as a kid thinking of us as David vs Goliath when it came to playing the big programs.

We're talking 50+ years here.

I live in California and have never, ever heard anything even similar to this. They think we are a crappy program and outside of a few years under a certain coach, they are right.

We are only as good as our coaches and that means most of the time, we are not very good. That includes the present time.

Incoming scud melt day 3... day 4 may continue...

Look, we aren't terrible, and we aren't Bammy.

there isn't another team in the SEC this year even close to sniffing the jock shorts of Bammy.

With the right changes, a few better recruits, and some schemes taught correctly. We will compete with all in the SEC except Bamy!

I'm still royally pissed off for a few reasons, but mainly because the SEC was an absolute train wreck this year outside of Alabama. Alabama was the only SEC team to win more than 8 games. think about that for a minute. We were two plays away from being 5-7 and we blew the East champion out. This is the worst this conference has been in a decade and we barely scratched our way to a winning record.

I've said before that one thing I like(d) about Bielema is that although we may not win every game, we'll never get blown out and we'll always play hard. That completely fell by the wayside this year and it's one of the reasons I'm completely done with him.

I don't expect to win every game. However, I expect us to be competitive and play hard, not get blown out by teams who finished with similar records (LSU, Auburn, A&M), and and not derp it up at the worst possible time.

Also, I read this statistic today -- since 1970, we're 110-2 when we have a 17+ point lead at halftime. The two losses? 2013 Rutgers and 2016 Missouri.

That game Friday was horrid.

56-3 was utter farce.

At the time I thought the A&M game was a missed opportunity that was really disappointing, turns out we layed over our heads for part of it and were fortunate not to get blown out worse

While I agree with your sentiment as far as not getting blown out with a Bielema team, it's not like this has been an every year thing. There's not a whole lot of changes he could've made mid-season that would've made much of a difference in that department, so I'm not sure what you expected to change after Auburn. He talked about changing some things up defensively and they did - it appeared to work for a week, then it was back to square one the next week when it just didn't.

If you think the man doesn't realize that something has to change, then you're a bigger idiot than he could ever be. That's why I'm taking a wait-and-see approach to see what happens over the offseason and next year.
