Very confusing responses here. I go elsewhere and the basketball folks are saying this is a huge commit because he’s a future pro but here the take is ho hum.

Isaiah Joe and Mason jones were poor defenders until muss got here. Maybe that is the angle

He looks good in that Oregon game. I don't think he's a player we really need, but he seems smart and great at feeding the ball. I can see him throwing a lot of oops to Brazile next year.

His shooting looked pretty good, too. His numbers aren't great, but they're not bad, either. I could see them improving.

I mean he's the 52nd ranked guy in the portal, lmao at future pro.

I think he'll be a fine bench guard.

His assist rate is higher than black's was this year and his turnover rate is lower than black's was.

He can create his own shot and shoots better from 3p than black did and can likely improve that figure this year.

For what it's worth Bama fans seem irked he didn't sign with them. Generally good sign imo

Yeah I mean, it’s a fine pickup but the Arkansas media types have a vested interest in overhyping the pickups we get.

This guy (+Blocker) seem like they will go a long way to helping us get into transition more effectively next year. But we still do not have a reliable shooter on next year’s roster - and that has to be addressed.

And Black is a better player by double the talent level. Maybe triple.

I could see him developing into something but he's not an earth shattering commit at this point in time

Yea the comments from the underwhelmed "Hog fans" have me laughing.

Menifield will be a top 15 PG in college basketball next year.

All Pac-12 freshman team, can initiate and create on offense. Elite quickness.

If Devo comes back a Menifield, Devo, Walsh, Brazile and Fall lineup would be among the top 10 ish in college basketball.

Allows Blocker to come off the bench.

If we get BJ Mack it would allow Fall to come off the bench.

Yeah I don't think anybody is dogging him, just no need to go to extreme hype levels over it.

It's a solid get, but he's ranked 52nd as a transfer for a reason.

I will say he's a better ball handler than anyone we had this year.

Sure. This kid is too small to project at an NBA level like Black does. But it doesn't mean he can't replace this year's production at PG which is what we are trying to do

I’m down for a wager on future pro prospects.

Another factor worth noting with menifield. When you look on the torvik site, his assist/turnover rates were actually better in Top 50 matchups vs. his overall average while Black's got meaningfully worse in Top 50 matchups.

I haven't dug in to see what exactly happened through the season, but he played better against the best opponents is what it indicates

Our SOS was #2 in the nation, Washington's was 102.

I would hope his stats would be a little better given the gigantic gap in quality opponents.

If you exclude the last 4 games, he shot 37% from 3P this season

He was 3/19 in the last 4 games from 3P
