Maybe he just declares without hiring an agent so he leaves the option of returning depending on the feedback he gets

This. Each run we've had guys with tournament experience. Hopefully that means Walsh stays.

If our NIL setup isn’t competitive with whatever Devo is able to make in the G league or Europe then I don’t see how we’re landing the recruits we are.
NIL aside, Devo needs to either come back or transfer to another program that he thinks would allow him to continue developing. He’s on the right track but he needs to get his degree and see if he can’t put everything together in his senior year.

The question is Name one prospect in your team’s draft range that you really don’t want and why

There’s generally one prospect in each draft that I can’t stand. Prior examples have been Knox, Reddish and Ziaire Williams.
This year I’d have to say Jordan Walsh - I highly doubt he’ll ever develop a good enough offensive game to get on the court in the NBA.

I would have said Nick Smith Jr, but I don't think he will end up going top 10, so I'quote:ll say the Thompson twins.
For the Orlando Magic it would be Nick Smith Jr. He is a shooter, and we need that, but he had a disappointing season at Arkansas. His lack of health, shooting consistency, efficiency, and tendency to rely on floaters and reverse layups when attacking the paint are all red flags. He doesn't have a strong frame or explosiveness to create separation or draw fouls. It also seems like he struggles with his handles and often ends up forcing shots or turning it over. In the tournament he didn't look NBA ready at all and definitely wasn't a difference maker.

That’s me with NSJ. If he just had RC4’s frame it would be a lock. He’s got tiny wrists, ankles etc. I don’t know that he’ll just “fill out”.
If his shooting at Arkansas was just an aberration and he’s a 40% 3 point shooter then it doesn’t matter. The sample size is small. His court vision is nice but that was never highlighted in our offense. The mental gaffes he displayed probably aren’t a massive drag on his stock but they’re not helping.
Don’t get me wrong. I hope he kills it.

Oh hey look, it's another genius who guaranteed he wouldn't play again this year.
Nick has fallen in a few mocks so I guess you can beat your tits now.

Saw an Atlantic article about Miami and the class their billionaire NIL backer bought. Most transfers they got in this year were in the 800k - 1 mil a year range per the article.

Sounding like we'll start out the class with Ware and Olivari as others have assumed or stated. This is a great way to start out the portal class, especially if Muss can get the most out of Ware. We still a PG, a physical big, and another good coupe of role players/3pt shooters/wings.
We're at 13 spots filled right now, until more announcements are made. So that may be what is holding everything up. Don't know for sure.

I thought his ability to make floaters consistently was supposed to be a huge plus for him? Personally, I think professional scouts are idiots, unless we're talking baseball.
Also want to add that I think NSJ is tougher than he looks and he plays that way. 6'5 185lbs isn't that small, but he has a baby face. Council only has 1" and 20lbs on him and Council is a great physical specimen.

Anthony's face matured a ton this last season. Assuming just him maturing and not stress.

don't think we ever got to see an ounce of his potential at Arkansas.
This is why fans are upset with NSJ. He was hyped up, #1 recruit in America, etc.
Fans expected #1 recruit results
They’re not mad at NSJ personally.

Nah, I've seen plenty of attacks directed at NSJ online. Lazy, entitled, etc.
Of course, it's usually someone's Papaw whose profile picture is an uncomfortably close picture of their face from a downward angle, but still.
