We have a habit of not pissing a drop at the plate until we have 2 outs and thus no margin for error.

Been that way for years.
Always a take in an obvious over the plate to get a strike situation. Have some trust in one of the best hitters on your roster, you only have a couple who could do anything in that situation with a swing.
