After the weekend series, team BA is up a tick to .289, while ERA is down to .245
The pitching staff is deep with quality arms, which is something we haven't had in a few years. Conversely, we still don't seem to have found our true lineup.

Yep. Can waste a hell of a pitching performance on some stupid shite in the field. Giving runs away can even be hard for a potent offense to overcome.

All it takes is one extra at-bat. Seen it too many damn times. Gotta get that shored up, infield defense especially. Even things that don't necessarily show up as errors like double plays we should realistically be converting that we're too slow to turn right now.

quote:
Carter is ahead of schedule in the rehabilitation from his surgery. He began a throwing program late last year and said in January he hoped to pitch this season for the Razorbacks.
Van Horn said Carter has seen an increased velocity to his pitches and is throwing 95 mph.
quote:
Stovall might return to the lineup by the March 12 game against Oral Roberts or the March 15-17 series against Missouri, Van Horn said. He suffered a broken foot when he was hit by a pitch during a Feb. 5 scrimmage and recently was taken out of a walking boot.
Van Horn said Stovall has stood in against pitchers in the bullpen with a screen protecting his injured foot.
“Right now he can do just about anything,” Van Horn said. “He's fielding, he’s hitting. He just can't sprint and cut on the outside of that foot.
“When he comes back he’s going to really help our lineup. He'll be playing all the time every day.”
quote:
Bybee has yet to pitch this season due to his mono diagnosis. Van Horn said he is nearing the end of a protocol for the illness and might be able to pitch against Oral Roberts next week.
Bybee was projected to be a key piece to the Razorbacks’ bullpen, perhaps as the No. 4 starter after a strong offseason. He was cleared to throw a bullpen Sunday, Van Horn said.
Left-hander Hunter Dietz is tracking toward an early-April return from a procedure last fall that addressed a stress fracture in his throwing elbow.
“This is a pitcher that could really help us at the end of the game,” Van Horn said.
Van Horn said left-hander Adam Hachman is still recovering from a torn UCL that required an internal brace operation last spring. Hachman was one of the Razorbacks’ top-rated signees in last year’s high school class.
“We’re not rushing that process at all,” Van Horn said. “We'll just wait and see how he feels. When he's ready to pitch, we'll pitch him.”
