TCU guy had 2 HR's all year.

Hits two Grand Slams in two innings.

shite happens. All we can do is set up for tonight and two tomorrow. The good thing about getting blown out is that you don’t have to use your top pitchers. We need good at bats and runs on the board to make TCU run through some pitching today.

Bullpen game tonight and hope the offense puts up 15 and then start tygart in game one tomorrow.

Win that one and we’d have hollan and mcentire for a chunk of game 2 but we’ll need runs on the board.

Let’s face it, we all knew we weren’t making a deep postseason run with only 2 starters (one of whom has been shaky lately), 2 reliable bullpen arms, and a bullpen full of empty calories and question marks.

Our pitching was 1 step forward and 2 steps back all year. We’d gain a pitcher but lose a pitcher almost in parallel.

Carter comes on but we lose Tygart to injury. Get Tygart back but lose Carter to injury. Wood comes on but Morris falls apart. Morris gets it back and Wood falls apart. Foutch comes on and Adcock falls apart. Adcock finds his fooding and Coil falls apart.

Good strategy by DVH and Hobbs to make TCU tire themselves out by running the bases so much.

They’ll be exhausted for tomorrow’s game because of all this swinging and running.

Gotta start Tygart tonight. It’s a one game season now.

Maybe Mother Nature will rain out the rest of the regional and unless they’ve changed the rules, we’d automatically move on

Losing Wiggins, Carter, Frank certainly hurt in the postseason.

TCU is the hottest team in the field and I was worried with them and Arizona both in the regional because talent matters in the postseason.

You want to face mid-majors not a .500 conference team who just won conference tournament or went on a run and is hot.

I don’t agree. If you can’t count on your offense to beat the 4 seed in their third game then frick it. Just go home.

Agreed.

Run out the string of this bloodbath by throwing the dregs of the bullpen at this TCU meat grinder, and reset with Tygart tonight.

If you beat SC, then start Hollan tomorrow and bring Hagen or Mac in relief.

I'm with you. Were gonna need our best if we make it back to TCU. You maybe use him a little in relief(like final inning or two if desperate) if it's tight and you're out of options.

Forgot Frank in my post above. He was another example of a quality loss in the bullpen. He was an incredibly good setup guy a la what Evan Taylor was last year.

TCU is another example of the jackshit job the tournament committee did with seeding.

Auburn and Oklahoma State had no business hosting, and TCU was red hot and should’ve hosted.

The bullpen on roster will be throwing the rest of this game. All arms will be used here.

You’ll start Tygart tonight and hope for a quick large margin and pull him at 40-50 pitches. If not, you let him go as long as possible.

Hogs will need Hollan, Smith, and McEntire tomorrow. Luckily Hollan and Smith both threw less than 50 pitches each so they’ll be going tomorrow. McEntire can maybe give an inning or two in one of the games.

Auburn AD led the selection committee so Auburn got gifted and overseeded as a host.

They also want 'regionals' opposed to seeding 1-64 teams as they should because the NCAA is cheap and wants to cut travel costs.

It's why OK State got DBU/ORU who are both strong for seeds.

We would've likely had them had OK State not hosted.

Also no regional in the state of Texas this year for the first time since 2013.

No it’s a 3 game season. Winning one game doesn’t mean shite. We have to win against a midweek team and an sec level team. Plan your pitching accordingly.

It’s a one game season. If you don’t win the next one, it’s over.

Of course it does. Not winning one game means everything.

Lipscomb, Little Rock, Missouri State we’re midweek losses.
