I hope both are gone for good.
These are terrible basketball players that beat a horrible Missouri team.
Then they got destroyed by LSU who is a notch above them.
I have changed my mind about the portal, I want it gone.
Throw money at these high school players and pay them enough to stay a few years for development.
The problem with that is I don't recall any history of Muss developing high school players.

Arkansas had to play well above talent level to beat Duke and Purdue at home.
It reminds me so much of the the Pelphrey team that beat Texas and Oklahoma at home.
But once they landed on planet earth, we saw what they really are and that is a bunch of shitty players.

I confess...I didn't (and won't) watch the LSU game. That said...I'm not sure a lack of chemistry is the problem. Perhaps we had too much chemistry as it seems several of our players were a bit too close to one another.
Whatever the case, there is a reason for such a pitiful performance. Even the portal players individual stats are well below where they were last year on allegedly inferior teams (except for Mark who came in from Houston).
I've been a Mussleman fan...but this mess this year leaves me scratching my head...then I hear the rumors that he's preparing to leave...
I guess I enjoyed years being proud of my Razorbacks. Thankfully I have moved to Florida and don't necessarily need to tell anyone what team I used to be proud to call mine.
I cringe to think what is going to happen to the baseball team.

You have to imagine it isn’t very often you have to navigate through a situation where players have created gay drama that is affecting the team. I can see Miss being at a loss for how to deal with it.

This basketball team has lost eight games by 10 points or more.
I'm sorry but I'm not buying that it is a chemistry problem this late in the season.
People don't like to be wrong and certainly don't like to admit it . But it is a talent problem.
Arkansas was a lot better team with legit NBA talent last year.
This year? I struggle to find any NBA talent on this team.
This is one of the most overrated Arkansas basketball teams that I have seen in years.
They are simply outclassed in this conference by more talented teams.

This gay drama is just an excuse to try and explain why this team is so bad.
They are just a really bad team with or without the drama.
Muss recruited a lemon of a team.

Not hating on gays in any way, but it is on Muss to realize who he is recruiting and he should have realized having a team put together like this was a bad idea for locker room issues that were going to arise

That is the gamble you take when you recruit players from the portal.
You don't know what you're going to get.
Muss thought he recruited good players and everyone thought so as well but everyone got it wrong.

Devo isn't from the portal though, he's a 4 year guy from Muss's first class and look what happened.

Assuming we win just 1 more game, Muss is going to be 11-25 in the SEC the last 2 seasons.

others are going to disagree with me here, and I understand why. But I simply do not care, as long as we do what we have the last three seasons and go further in the tourney that matters than anyone else in the SEC. Knowing that this year is a Lemon...

One year, he will have to hit it better in conference just by luck of the draw and get a higher seed for a real chance at a ship... right?

You just hope it's not a trend. If it's bad again next year what do you do?
Hopefully doesn't come to that.

Seriously Rev.
Muss doesn't have what it takes to win a Championship. He's a terrible in game coach. His NBA style of play is terrible, he doesn't teach fundamentals.
I will say he's given is a bunch of firsts this year, and none of them have been good.

I agree that Muss is a below average offensive coach at the college level, but he’s been a great recruiter, evaluator, and his defenses have been great until this year.
I’m not going to lose any sleep if he bolts because I think he has us in a position to hire someone just as good or better.
I will say I’ve started to question his leadership. The team just generally seems undisciplined and I’m not sure that’s totally unrelated to some of his antics. I’m getting sick of seeing him moping on the bench while we’re down 20.
Honestly the time might be right for a change on both sides. I’m not saying that as a Muss hater. It would not surprise me at all to see him go take some other school deep in the tourney

I don't hate the dude at all. He brought us from the depths of mediocre Mike.
But to fall off this bad isn't a good look.
It's obvious that the locker room is an unmitigated disaster, and that lies squarely in his lap.
Whether he takes another team on a deep run is doubtful past the elite 8. I see him bolting for the NBA sooner than later.

Honestly….a change might be good for everyone. Muss made some great runs…I’ll just leave it at that.
Anyone have Chris Beard’s number?

I'm not watching basketball this year. I have enough stress in life without seeing this train wreck. But I'm following the stories and the scores.
That said, firing a coach that took you to 2 Elite 8's and a sweet 16 is a sure fire way to make sure no one wants to coach here. It's ridiculous. It's a horrible year.
It's the same reason we were making fun of Calipari over at Kentucky. Sometimes the mercenary approach works, sometimes it doesn't. This year it didn't. Move on and see what happens.

That's the exact reason that we'll have to look at Titboss next season.
