Thank you Steven A. Smith.
I hate your arse, but that may be what the BOT and AD need to hear. There are plenty of negatives we can say about Mike Anderson, but Mike put us back into position to hire a real coach.
It's time for the money guys and the AD to realize that paying more for the right guy is cheaper than constantly paying buyouts for the wrong guys.
In my opinion I think we may be doing this hire right. Let me explain why. Mussleman, in my opinion is as far as we fall. There is no way he would stay at Nevada over coming here if he has any ambition at all, but for some reason we have not pulled the trigger yet.
I have no inside info on this hire which in all honesty appears to put me in the same category with the media, but I think we have put the Mussleman type hires on standby.
Why would we do that? The only reason is we have some bigger fish in the frying pan.
Maybe the money guys are finally wising up.
The key is Mussleman. We know we could have him, but haven't pulled the trigger. Why not?
The only logical answer is we are waiting, and feel perfectly safe to do so.
The remaining question is, who are we waiting on?
I think we might be swinging for the fence simply because this particular year the back up plan is a stand up triple.
I may be giving the PTB too much credit, but it's really the only thing that makes sense at this point.

If I'm correct, there's only two worth waiting on.
One college, one pro.

The replies to that tweet are why we get made fun of. HY is botching the search because some guy in New Mexico threw out some names

I could be 100% wrong, but I don't think so.
The coaching carousel is way less crazy than most years. The teams looking already seem to have their guy lined up. Example A&M and Buzz.
This is the perfect year for a team like Arkansas to slow play the B offers and make the A offers say no.
Right now there are one of two situations happening with our AD.
1. He fired Mike and jumped into the void of the unknown with the risk of a downgrade.
2. He fired Mike knowing that we could shoot for the stars and even the back up plans were better than Mike.
Like I said earlier. The carousel is small this year. This is an advantage to the buyer.
My thoughts are that if there is a 5% chance that someone like Beard or Donavon would even remotely wait for the job, you have to wait and pay them because it's cheaper than paying out losers.
If they say no, it's not a big deal because nobody else is chasing the Mussleman type coaches.
This is a unique year where we are in the driver's seat and have the ability to slow play the plan B type coaches.

Yeah, try to sell that right now. We are in a buyer's market if there ever was one.

Do you ever go to sleep or do you your alters just take turns? Serious question.

Why does everybody always ask that? I work night shift and I'm lucky if I get 5 hours of sleep during the day.

I have no alters.

Not ready to panic and say he botched the search until he actually makes the hire.
All my guys are still in play and therefore I'm holding out hope
And I could care less about S.a.S. He lost all credibility with me the day he talked about how important HH was to the Chargers offense, having no clue he was out for the season.

MAJ is really butt hurt. He’s resorted to using edited videos of SAS going off about the Nicks last year and making them appear that he is talking about MA.

I did simply because I hate his arse and I'm getting impatient waiting on a coach.

Im hearing the number they're gonna offer Beard is $6M per year, supposedly.

IF that's true, I don't mind waiting it out over the weekend then. That would make him the 4th highest paid coach in CBB, so I figure it would at least make him take a second look.

Officially a Big 3 sport school. Chad Morris will deliver eventually. His rebuild is a lot more tenuous that what the basketball coach will ever have.
