Morris may be in a spot to match Petrino’s success here if he can land Gunnell, Henry, Burks, Thomas, Wilkins and Jadon Jackson. A Texas QB with heavy Arkansas ties and one of the best instate offensive classes since ‘08. The similarities are striking.

Bill Embody just posted on our 247 board that Grant isn’t coming up here on the 24th now and that he’ll visit during spring practice instead so he can see the offense. Couple this with Brian Perronni putting in a CB for Okie State and it’s not quite as exciting news. Hopefully Chad can get in his ear and get him up here sooner though.

Do you know what the 24th date is?
I remember it being publicized way back maybe that was only from a recruit (Jefferson) talking to reporters but the coaching staff has not listed it when they listed Feb 11, Mar 3 and Mar 10.

It’s an invite only visit day. Otis posted something about it today but said he’s not allowed to give out any more info than that.

I thought that might be the case, it was strange to me because it was the last Saturday before spring ball started. I figured most of our guys especially top targets instate and regionally would want to see practices or scrimmages.

The Arkansas staff is not expecting him next weekend, I was told tonight. It's expected and calculated. They'll get to roll the red carpet out and I'd imagine Grant will bring Jalen Curry with him for that.

I know that none of their guys think they will lose a committ and if they do they sure as hell won't be coming to Arkansas.
The guy who runs Texags thinks Grant will go to LSU.
