Then let UF have him. We aren't in a QB pinch. We have a legit PS QB already in this current class as well.

There are issues with his father. Seems to be a high risk family. Kid left high schools and now has already left his initial college choice. If he wants to be here long term, then prove it.

You're willing to risk losing him instead of offering a schollie? I'm sure Florida offers him one.

For what it's worth, RD was on the radio earlier and said that his sources told him that Florida wasn't interested

Luginbill: When Ricky Town was coming thru the ranks, we noticed that when things went wrong, he would get down.

Luginbill: My biggest red flag on Ricky Town would be getting into camp for two weeks, then deciding it’s not the place for you.

Luginbill: I think Ricky Town has some talent, I just think teams need to vet the intangibles.

There’s no denying that Town has talent — it’s obvious if you watch his highlight film, but the intangibles have been called into question. And they’re fair game, after leaving Southern Cal following some lackluster practices, as reported by the Los Angeles Daily News.

Ultimately, it comes down to the coaching staff and their gut feeling on Town and his willingness to compete. Bret Bielema and offensive coordinator Dan Enos will make the best decision for their program, but Town would be a nice fit in the Hogs’ pro-style attack.

Town reportedly also has interest in the Florida Gators, but it’s unknown whether UF is pursuing him.

I'm not too worried. Two things Bielema has proven since he got here are that he has an uncanny ability to evaluate people and that he puts the program ahead of any individual player.

Worst case scenario is the guy turns out to be a head case and gets made an example of. BB isn't the kind of coach too let someone poison the locker room.

Town wanted to have a decision by this weekend and it appears he may very well have made that decision. Classes start at Arkansas on Monday. One source close to Town indicated he will likely enroll at Arkansas and begin classes next week.

I have confidence in Bielema to not frick around with the kid if he is a head-case. Bielema has proven to have zero tolerance with bullshite.

We're going to have one hell of a QB competition next season.

RS Frosh Storey vs RS Frosh Town vs RS Jr Allen

and Peavey will probably be there too.

Town won't be a RS fr. Will be a true frosh I believe since he is xfering. Forced to sit out this season.

He can still redshirt this year, making both him and Storey RS-Fr

ETA - maybe I'm wrong. The 247 article says he has four years of eligibility -- are they meaning five to play four or four including this year (which he has to sit)?

We'll have two highly recruited redshirt freshmen, a redshirt sophomore (Peavey) and redshirt junior with game experience in Allen.

Should make for an interesting spring and fall camp, and I expect some fierce competition.
