They sure hate Brett

Berts best quality as far as I'm concerned is his ability to piss off Texas fans. He naturally holds his hands in a down horns position. It's a thing of beauty really.

dick davenport says he feels like Fulton wants to come to arkansas, but the in state pressure to go to LSU might be too much.

Word to the wise lay off taking any shots at his dad if any of you thought of doing so...
Posted on 1/25/16 at 1:46 am to RazorHawg
he has already stated it would have cost him 700 to visit here and he just can't do that which I understand and respect. if he goes to the Florida visit (which is still like 550 or something and cheaper) I'll still feel somewhat slighted but will understand as well that 700+550 is alot more than just one of those 2 and if he could only afford 1 I understand choosing the cheaper trip.
but still more sad, that if we are the only one he missed, for him for missing the opportunity to see the genuine care and love our coaches have for our players, and our dedication of making men out of them on and off the field. that would be his loss in the situation.
so even if Fulton didn't choose us atleast he would have gotten to actually know our coaches and would have known more about them besides "bert is fat"

Yeah I totally understand not paying that for a flight too, it's incredible the NCAA won't let the school pay for at least 1 parent to make the official, it's only the biggest decision in the kids life....but I digress.
Anybody laying into this kids dad is nuts, leave that to other sites, and hopefully even they are smarter than that....well maybe not...but Fulton's dad is a big LSU fan, understandable, he even hosts LSU recruits....who cares, he's not hurting us by being a fan and he's not swindling Arkansans with look-at-me basketball tournaments like Marcus Monk. He's not KJ Hill's stepdad, thumbing everybody in the eye along with a HS coach. Hey, he's an LSU fan, that's cool, I just hope he lets his son make his own decision, just like Alex Collins did, he wanted to play for Bert, so he signed with him.
I hope Fulton signs with Arkansas as much as the next person, but going after a kids dad on Twitter when he really hasn't done anything too agregious is just psychotic. And if he goes to The Florida visit oh well, like previously stated it's almost $200 cheaper. Let's just hope he doesn't cave to peer pressure and play where he feels the most comfortable.

I agree.
bert is on a rules committee and says he has been pushing to change the rule on not paying for parents. hopefully this rule can get changed soon. it's unfair IMO.

It is pretty stupid. I mean they get reimbursed mileage but why not let a school pay for a parent to come. It's only a trip to help decide one of the single most important decisions in a kids life at that point.

I think the NCAA is finally about to evolve and allow parents to fly on OVs.. not only getting mileage if they come via car. Hopefully as soon as this next recruiting cycle.

Think that was all on Tardville. Wonder if it was even verified a hog fan? Sabotage is not beyond LSU.

Man...if we could somehow land Fulton to go with a guy like Brandon Jones
Posted on 1/25/16 at 10:24 am to sugatowng
LSU fans still in denial (for the most part) that we've even got the slimmest of chances at Fulton.

I mean...we have a small chance but I think the kid is being nice as well. Seems like a well rounded young man and a helluva football player. Jones looks like he will decide between Baylor and Arkansas. Getting Fulton might lead to the greatest recruiting efforts on the defensive side of the ball that we've had in years.

Yeah, I'd probably give us a 10% chance of getting Fulton (and just pulling that percentage out of my butt), but LSU fans (with a couple of exceptions) think it is a 0% chance.
I think some of them are getting a little edgy though. They would 100 times rather they lose him to Florida than to us.
