just finished watching bert's press conference.... I love that fat man
him talking about beating the tar our of texas, how it really wasn't competitive and that he's seeing a lot in the offense of what he saw in the defense last year after robb came in gave me a full chubb

I love the fact that he takes so much pleasure out of beating the shite out of Texas and has been harping on it in the offseason.
Bert has done his homework on the little things in terms of winning over our fan base.

Something I just noticed looking at the depth chart again is Reeve Koehler. UA All American and he can't crack our 2 deep still...

those that have watched him in practice don't expect him to ever play here

Loving the new numbers, especially Storey at 5.
I have a thing about QBs wearing single digits. Anytime I see a QB hit campus and get handed a number like 13, 17 or 19, I automatically assume I'll never see them play a meaningful down.

Things went pretty well for my other school when we had a QB #5.

I love that Will Gragg took 11 after Derby had it last year.
O'Grady and Cantrell were 15 and 44 in high school and both those numbers are still available. I've always been a fan of TE's getting non-traditional numbers so hopefully they stick with those.

FYI, Spring Practice starts tomorrow. There should be folks meeting with the media afterwards if they keep with the same format as previous years. Most likely it will be offensive players and coaches.

I want to see what Froholdt looks like lined up against our OL.

Early 247 updates:
Tretola is down to about 320 pounds, he said he's lost 47 since he arrived here last fall. He called Coach Enos a high-energy coach who has been a good fit for the system. He was complimentary of the young guys, and said Jalen Merrick has some "dog" in him, meaning he's an aggressive player. Mitch Smothers came in, as well. He's gotten a lot of reps now at center. He said his stamina is a lot better right now. He thinks he can be a mentor to Zach Rogers. Him and Tretola should take over the leadership of the offensive line, he thinks. Williams said that the backs spent a lot of time today on ball security, some drills they had never worked on. He said that Singleton is a great guy to talk to and a relatable coach. He was giving him some advice coming into the media room today, Williams joked. He said that the other backs are progressing well for the first day, and added that Enos has added some new things. They worked on some new terminology and fundamentals today. Otis talked to Keon, and we'll have more to come.
Williams said that the terminology on offense is completely different this year. He's already seen things that he thinks will help in the passing game. On Saturdays, Williams will be limited in the scrimmages mich like Trey Flowers last season.
MoRe on the new offensive coaches: Enos comes into the weight room during workouts someyimes and does push-ups with the offense. Singleton really stresses ball security. Williams called him a funny guy and said he was jokingly giving him pointers on what to tell the media about him as a coach.
On the three freshman OL, Smothers said several times that they don't look like freshmen out there. They know what they're doing, he said, and their 9 weeks here already are a big reason why.
