But to question whether or not a recruit plays with his titties is classless & juvenile.
bro I haven't made fun of the kid for his looks and I'm not gonna bash people for getting a laugh out of the way he looks. he can either accept his appearance or do something about it. those people laughing now may just be the jump start he needs to change his appearance. I mean I was pretty much in his shoes when I was younger. I was chubby with man titties when I was in junior high/high school. I got made fun of for it constantly while playing football.
well I never lashed out at anyone who poked fun at me for being chubby. I just tucked that resentment away and used it to work hard in the gym after I graduated. when the man titties and the chubbiness finally went away it was the best feeling. but that pissed off feeling I had, I still like using to make myself work out that much harder and run that much further. perhaps gragg will do the same..

bullshite. You can't have it both ways. Either Bert knows what he's doing or he doesn't. If he's offered Gragg, that's all that matters
you realize how many players are offered by different coaches each year that can't commit to the school that offered, even though they want to, because the school won't accept their commitment?

Not if he has a medical condition.

By grown arse men? Or by equally juvenile middle/high school kids?

Sure. I understand that completely. If that's the case with Gragg, fine. But as I've said repeatedly, it's classless to make fun of any kid. What the frick is wrong with society when ADULTS are completely fine with making fun of a KID?

men sometimes laughed at the kids jokes while other kids laughed or was just the kids

Okay guys, wrap it up. Looks like we have to wait 3 months before we can make fun of Gragg's adipose tissue.

Do you make fun of people in your day-to-day life? I don't. My wife doesn't. My friends don't. But we're grown ups. I never said making fun of anyone is a good thing. The fact he's a kid just makes it worse.

So I guess we need to get a new coach, right? We shouldn't employ a coach that offers players that don't deserve offers.
bullshite. You can't have it both ways. Either Bert knows what he's doing or he doesn't. If he's offered Gragg, that's all that matters. frick, I don't care if it was a kid not related at all to Arkansas. Some kid in California with no SEC offers with the biggest bitch tits since Fight Club? Still wouldn't think it would be considered classy to make fun of him.
Let me know when people will not get pissed off over a coach at Arkansas not offering and recruiting hard a player rated 4* or above by the services. Let's not pretend like people will go; "Well, everyone says he's a 4* but the head hog doesn't think so and thus did not offer, and I'm fine with that".
Again, with Dyer, people were mad Petrino didn't offer his felon hanger on earlier to shore up his commitment.
People bitch about the instate 3* and 2*s who "get away" or "were over looked" from staffs who go on to have success elsewhere.
But by all means, lets pretend the above isn't true, just as we will pretend he doesn't have small hands and does have a chiseled physique.

I thought we were being fairly civil, but your joke doesn't change the argument. Gynecomastia never applied to me, but it EXISTS. And it MAY apply to Gragg, meaning it was something he couldn't control.
I do not know what it is or care enough to look it up, I do not recall you working in the medical field, I wouldn't ask how you know about it and why the fact it exists upsets you so, but frankly I do not care.

Wallow in your ignorance, Dale. I posted a link. Wikipedia is hard.

To make this post at least partially related to recruiting: what do people think about Elmore Hempstead from Smackover? Jordan Jones has talked up him since committing, and Hempstead apparently had a decent showing at camp. I watched his highlights on Hudl and didn't really see much that excited me, though. He didn't seem to play that fast and his tackling didn't look very good, either.
Making fun of people is one of the bases of comedy, so I think it's really weird that you find it so objectionable.
Do you know what 'levity' means? Please get in the spirit of it and drop the righteousness, you'll be a much better poster. The only reason we're still talking about Will Gragg's floppy manboobs* is because you got all fricky about it.
* Will Gragg's manboobs are not actually floppy, or even that big. In reality he has a higher than average body fat percentile which gives the slight appearance of small breasts, and it's not an unusual feature at all, especially on an athlete who plays a position that requires the size that Gragg has. I'm not even sure that I, personally, would consider them manboobs. This is what happens when you take a joke too seriously, you get 2-3 pages of bullshite followed by someone explaining the details of another person's chest.
quote:Yes, I absolutely make fun of people. Not in the subject's presence, because that would actually be rude--unless the subject is a close friend and I know they're down with it, and even then I keep it gentle and fun. I even make fun of myself. And I don't make fun of people I know to other people I know. You know, tact.

From Richard's article about RWIII recruiting other Texans:
Definitely feel like Bert is getting better and better kids on the Hill, regardless of their talent (which I don't doubt). It's nice to see that we're getting smart kids for a change.

No offense, and this is probably the cynic in me, but we said this with Petrino too.
However, I will say that I'm extremely optimistic that this is the case with Bert's guys, and that he definitely has the track record to back it up. Attrition is the number one reason we've been so terrible the last two years, so I'm hoping that Bert's not only recruiting kids who last, but building a sustainable redshirt program. I've said before that I'm willing to take my licks in the first two years or so to get the redshirt and walkon programs on solid ground and running.

Yeah, I think the difference is that Bert established a history of high APR and good walk-on programs. Everyone thought Petrino was a disciplinarian who was tough on his players, but in reality he was just an a-hole and a dirty old man who put his dick first, before his family and the program. He hasn't proven he can sustain success at a program for more than a few years.

I think Bert is on the right track...it's not his fault the state doesn't produce enough quality Defensive guys. He has proven already that he is bringing in good offensive talent.
