Yep, I'm sure other fans from other schools care a hell of a lot more. Poor gentleman doesn't realize that if ANY fanbase was going to 'care' about the kid and family, it's Arkansas.

Like someone said on another thread/page, this whole charade has been analogous to someone going all Jerry Seinfeld and ooking for a ticky-tack reason to break up with his girlfriend. Chaney was just the out.
After the phenomenal improvements by our team this season, a bowl victory, a reenergized fan base, and a phenomenal recruting class and a (likely) preseason top 25 ranking, there's quite literally no legitimate reason he'd do this other than the fact he never wanted to be here in the first place. It's not like we went 3-9/0-8 again, the fans are bailing and Bert's getting desperate. Which makes me ask -- why commit in the first place and do that shite at the HoF? To quote Colonel Jessup from A Few Good Men, "I'd just as soon you said 'thank you' and went on your way."

You want to know what's funny/ I honestly do not care. I am not saying that in the sour grapes way.. I really do not care one way or the other. He comes he comes he doesn't he doesn't. I feel that our program is in great hands and we will get the players we need.
Dude reminds me of Winston's uncle on rivals. If I were a coach, and I'm not, but if I were, I wouldn't put up with the drama whatsoever.

The best way for us to lose a recruit is to have their parents or family sign up on a hog message board.

Especially if they don't understand the assholeness of the internet. Add in the fact that posters for the most part are like gf's on their period 24/7 when it comes to recruiting... Never good.

That was painful to read.
A father shouldn't be posting on a message board period.
If any of you are familiar with Bucknuts, tOSU message board, they'll eat him alive.

These grown men don't realize that they can actually affect a recruits decision by bitching out on the internet. When a kid seems 100% Razorback he's getting that e-dick sucked but if he drops to 99 all hell breaks loose. The thing that gets me the most is that these 17yr old kids don't owe these cross eyed barely literate shitheads anything.
When I hear random people talking about Razorback football out in public I want to grab a hack saw and brutally murder myself in front of them screaming LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO. Because I'm so smart and my opinion is the best, but seriously frick most of the internet. I'm salty today cause I have some slight fever shakes/aches and I'm at work all day. Somebody hold me.

If I remember correctly, Josh Frazier's mom posted on Hogville for a while. She rather enjoyed the pleas for him to be a Hog, but Hogville as a collective is hardly the representation our fan base needs.

It saddens me that when I read that board I come to the realization that these are actual people who live and work (?) among us, procreate and vote.
I'm holding out hope that it's just one big collective troll and that those aren't real people and their views.

Can you blame them?
I agree, they're not a good representation of our fan base but, the father should know better.
Not a smart move to make a post the day your kid decides he is opening up his recruitment again.
What did he expect? Fans to be happy? Rational fans or irrational fans, none of them are going to be happy for a kid that may leave the state after he announced his decision at the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.

See my earlier post -- that's pretty much word for word what I said.
I think both sides are dumb in this -- parents should never read or post on a message board (especially one on HV's level), period, and if they do it's only because they're reveling in the praise heaped upon their sons and/or living vicariously through fanboy worship (*cough* Montez, Frazier's mom, Beck Campbell). Inversely, fans shouldn't be living and dying with the decision making processes or lack thereof of 18 year olds. Neither side is blameless.

Sir,
While I am a hog fan through and through, I wish to respond to your post.
quote:
This is my last post here. Though I feel I owe none of you explanations concerning our son or anyone in our family, I will give you this...our kid made his decision based on many things that a board will never know.(A smart parent would aid his/her child in these decisions without making them public knowledge, congrats) Most of you have such a hate for kids in these situations, that it wouldn't matter what transpired between the kid and the school, coaches etc. (Not true, how youth are treated in our society matters more than what transpires on a football field, too much emotion sometimes gets the best of folks) , I shouldn't have to say this to grown people, but things happen in life to people, that don't happen to you! (Remember, you don't have to say anything to complete strangers, isn't this how it all started to begin with) That's because you are not them!! Which in turn, means you couldn't possibly understand what that person is dealing with in his/her life situation. I'm sick of most of you, as much of you claim you are of my family. (We are all a part of the Razorback family, and as with any family there are some crazy uncles, amped up aunts, or a few who would be considered black sheep, all families have this) Contrary to what was said, as far as I could had handled this better, I/we did the best we could in handling this. (I hope you did for the sake of your family, but remember the hall of fame decision had to be made by someone who is in control of K.J.'s situation. And whoever that adult was perhaps needs to take a step back and think of all of the drama created for the Razorback family and K.J. If you listened to specific folks, you may have gotten some bad advice) I will say this for future reference, my family and I have dealt with a lot of kids in this state, as mentors, and they and their families know us. They see how for a football, people in this State will pull their child apart, and make them out to be an evil being, no matter their character.(If you think Ohio State, Alabama is any different, then you must be a bit naïve. Remember, all of us have our crazies. Take a look on the internet at Bama fans killing trees, performing perverted acts, threatening other people, getting arrested, thus far the Razorback nation hasn't gotten this bad.) Many have said to us, why would you let your son go to Fayetteville, saying those things about y'all? Even while KJ was committed.(Why would anyone be getting involved at such a high level, perhaps their own motives were being served here.) He stuck with his commitment for us, until he had reason to be concerned. (He must have been a fan as well, or why be concerned with what happens to our beloved Razorbacks.) I don't care that he committed to Arkansas at the Hall of Fame...that was set up by someone else for you guys. (And for K.J. after all this is About HIM, perhaps those in parental guidance roles allowed this to happen regardless of motives) He's a hard working kid. Worked for all he has gotten, and don't owe none of you nothing. ( we know he is a hard working kid and we were sincerely hoping he would come work with us, let us root for him, encourage him at our beloved University. Fan stands for Fanatics, We have become fanatics of K.J. while watching him succeed and wish that success to be viewed by all of us as a Razorback Family.) With that being said, there are others watching how you treat these kids with all this hatred and anger, and I've heard them say they will not allow their child to attend Arkansas. (One thing we need to separate here is fact, from fiction. If people base life decisions on internet message boards, where there is not real personal knowledge behind the posts, perhaps we all need to take a step back and realize that you never know who is on the other end of that computer... And while your at it, take a look at Ohio State's boards as well, If you think the Razorback boards over react, you will be absolutely shocked at Buck Nuts) We want our child to be happy, more than make any of you happy. (well, we sure hope this is true, he is your responsibility) Yeah..maybe I / we could have handled it better, according to some of you, but that's your damn opinion, which, at this point, means nothing to us. (That may be evident, but it may not, or why else choose to explain your frustration to complete stranger on the internet, Perhaps because we are all a part of the Razorback Family?) Cause in the end, we realize that the majority of you don't really give a damn about us or our family. (This isn't true either, The majority of this Razorback Family want K.J. to have success, but not at our expense. Rather all of us use our talents, money resources, fandom together. But we still hope and pray that K.J. has ultimate success wherever he goes. Ohh, sure there are a vocal few who act like idiots, again this is everywhere. Have you read of Harvey Updyke lately?) Just how much you could get out of our kid to help your favorite team win..and that's the truth. (Yes, we all want to be winners in life, in football, but something is different in a state like Arkansas that many just don't understand. In Arkansas there is no professional team to support, we are ALL IN for our Razorbacks. And being all in means that as a state we take care of our family, our players, those who put in the effort to be #uncommon men and understand the pride of our great university. It means having somewhere to turn in our prideful traditions during hard times, and someone to celebrate those great accomplishments during great times. We are the flagship of our great state, and wish K.J. to be a part of it. In the end if he isn't, we will move on and so will he. He is talented, smart, and has put in the effort to get there. We simply hope he gets the best information for his whole life to make the best decision necessary. But once more, if you think that these other programs are simply looking out for K.J.'s best interest without regard to winning.. Please evaluate once more that consideration. Several of our very own high school boys have left in the past to sit on the bench elsewhere. They weren't truly "Tide" players, "Buckeye" players or "War Eagles" and in the end they have little to look forward to in those situations. In the end, we will be ok, I promise you that. We made it here without you, and will continue to make as we always have..with God & family. No, you truly haven't. There have been coaches, teachers, mentors, friends, family, church members, and fans all in with K.J. and those folks, the majority are Razorback fans as well. Yes, some take it a bit too far (as with all schools) But please do not forget that one man is not a team, and without the fans nobody watches the games, pays the entrance fees, without boosters there is no equipment, without teachers there is no education or degree. We have all been a small part of a great thing. And yes, you may be fine, as the majority of us hope regardless of where K.J. goes, but it serves all of us best to not forget who, what, it took to get anyone this far.
I had a bit too much time on my hands...
