No offer for Storey is just looney tunes. I get that he's a manchild and all, but when your competition offers and you don't, it sends a message and it's often the wrong message when it comes to courting teenagers.
The relationships with the coaches is the most important factor when it comes to recruiting. There's coaches that innately understand that, and then there's coaches that for some reason never apply real world customer service and sales psychology to their profession. The world is a people first proposition, I think Bielema has a really good understanding of that, however, there's also a public perception that they have to overcome. Mainly that being the question of how he would adjust to recruiting in the SEC, and so far he's not adapted as well as Butch Jones, Horsey McGraw, or Stoops #3.
They might be focusing on laying down the foundation and the groundwork with the coaches but at the end of the day the HS coaches don't sign the LOI, the kids do. I got a chance to see Trooper Taylor in action a couple times when he still had his family in Stillwater and he had taken the Auburn job. Dude had flown in on Fri afternoon after being on the road for weeks and was working phones non-stop with calls and texts with recruits rather than just chilling with the fam.
I don't know how our coaches operate; they may be just as diligent but the talk of keeping any in state kid that can play at a championship level and then not even extending offers when it's obvious that certain kids are blue chippers while more successful programs offer and look to be trying harder... it's not a good perception when there's so much already out there to overcome.
Bielema has 25 years of meh football to overcome along with the natural disadvantages of being Arkansas, he doesn't have the luxuries of a Nick Saban, Mack Brown, or Lane Kiffin and those guys appear to be outhustling him.
I'm Shammered on a monday night but frick all if we don't light a fire and capitalize on some excitement with the football program.

They're not taking these tier 3 recruit with offers from North Texas and Rice like previous coaches did early. That's how we always loaded up early.
Only thing that changed today is that Deandre Murray no showed at camp for some reason, unless someone is sick or died, he probably screwed up his chance to play for Arkansas.
Storey will be offered very soon, don't worry about it.
Still not quite sure what people are talking about with the Cheney recruiting stuff. He's stuck with Peavey, only other QB he has went and seen was Cornwell. We offered 3 or 4 other high profile QB's to gauge interest, but nothing else.
Hansen didn't have an offer from Bielema and we quit going after Brandon Harris. Only ones Chaney really showed high interest in besides Peavey was Kizer, Cornwell and Grier.

Whatchu talkin bout Willis?
I don't pump sunshine, but I don't jump off a cliff the day guys leave camp either.
This staff has to prove they suck before I jump on them. What they did in one month as a complete staff last signing period and by closing two very highly touted South Florida kids in the end, bolstered my opinion on them.

Lets not act like they just walked in and said hey I think we should try and get this kid and got him to sign here a couple weeks later. Partridge had been working on the kid for several years.

it had me on the ropes last night, devilish wimmens.
I think we all want to see a stellar recruiting class because we know how important it is in the fall.

I think the majority of our recruiting success is always going to be after we get kids to visit during the season and see that we actually do stack up fanbase/facility/lifestyle etc. to the big names that we're going against for the top tier players.

It seems that are recruiting strategy is very deliberate...We've never offered this many High profile players from what I've followed the last few years.
I'm not going to start drinking due to recruiting yet...I already drink too much IMO

That is fair. Patience is not my strong suit as I obviously have none. I'm just ready for some good non-drama filled news regarding Arkansas football.

I really don't have the patience to follow recruiting too closely, so I'll panic when y'all tell me I should.
