They went 2-10.

But Mizzou did a lot better and we're out recruiting them so your point is moot.

We should never get out recruited by Kentucky. Or I need to get used to getting excited about 8 win seasons.

If we get out recruited by Kentucky next year...is it a problem yet?

Prestige of program, not just the previous years record. I'd be pissed if I was a Mizzou fan, but at least they don't invest the amount of money in their program that we do.

Even if we get out recruited by Kentucky next year, it will still have no bearing on our class. Just like this year.

perception is reality with a lot of folks. KY out recruiting us...

Petrino won with less...

If we had a DC we would have done better...

The recruiting sites did us wrong....

We are poor little Arkansas...

Blah, Blah, Blah... Fill the needs the best you can, coach up the best you can, win more...

Period!

Next year will even be better.... Period!

see, I said it with the "period" so it has to be true.. .AMIRIGHT?

It would if the traditional powers continue to be at the top of recruiting and we're at 30. I can't fathom a reason why anyone would defend setting a precedent of 11th in our conference. We play these schools. Are we deluding ourselves into thinking our western foes aren't developing talent as well? Or filling needs?

It's not useless but 30th is pretty damn good considering last season

Kentucky had some highly rated instate players for the first in in forever, also if you own a map, look where Ohio is located, then get online to figure out where the Stoops family is from.

Recruits ratings are continually rated up and down based partially on who is recruiting them and where they commit. The rating itself is inherently flawed. (Bama bump anyone?)

Any statistics drawn from a set numbers skewed in any way by a preconceived outcome is by definition useless.

yeah but Bama wins a shite ton so they must know something about who to go after

5 stars have the offers from the big schools because they're the best... sure a 3 star might develop into that good of a player but most of the time the 5 star is way more developed

Rankings matter quite a bit

Yeah, and he STILL maintains that we had a shot at Gruden.

He has to just be an old dude who quite literally cannot ever admit he's wrong.

Lane Kiffin's only class at Tennessee was like #2 in the country. That totally worked out for them and they totally balled out the next 4 years, right?

They are arbitrary numbers defined by people with little or no actual coaching or scouting experience.

They do not mean anything.

When was the last time an SEC team won the conference averaging 30'ish in recruiting?

It matters. The highest probabilities of getting to the NFL lies in the 4 and 5 star players. I never said we couldn't field a good team without them.

Then why are most of the 5 stars offered by programs like Bama and FSU?

Meh. Missouri came close to winning it with 30-40ish recruiting

but yeah that was probably the first time since the sites have been around
