NIIIIIIIICE! I think it might be time to start the official coaching search thread on the rant.

Maybe have some pretty in depth bio's on the candidates. Hell it'd make for a killer website on it's own for us Hawggalos.

I'm dead serious when I say that outside of the guys you'd never land (e.g. Stoops, Saban, Meyer) there's not a better choice.

But I still maintain that I hope he doesn't go to Fayetville. We don't need another team recruiting Texas on a noticeable level.

I would definitely not be pissed if we hired Briles because he would definitely boost our recruiting big time. It would just take me awhile to warm up to that offense.

If briles ran that baylor offense here we would lose a lot of games. Especially with the lackluster defense he has put on the field. We might get a lot of big names but that can only take you so far.

Wtf are you guys talking about?

Did his D's suck at Baylor? Yes.

Did Petrino's D suck at Louisville and Arkansas? Yes.

Briles' offense would be just fine in the SEC, and defensively he would learn to get the proper coaches and personnel on defense just like Petrino finally did this past year.

Y'all would be able to put a much better defensive staff together than Baylor could by virtue of being a much bigger name and having much bigger money. shite just keep Haynes if he does well this year.

Actuallly some of his louisville Defenses were ranked pretty highly. He had a much better DC than willy there.

We're basically hiring Gus Malzahn as head coach if we are going to run that offense. Which is great if Briles will land the next cam newton. Otherwise you've all seen what happens to that style of offense when a real defense shows up.

Maybe he and P. Petrino could create a monster of an offense. I actually have a lot of faith in Haynes and Co. Could be the perfect scenario.

If we bring in a new HC i fully expect us to clean house. Maybe leave one assistant as a link to keep recruiting in tact but that is even stretching it. Unless we hire Garrick McGee. I'm not a fan personally although I don't think it would be a bad hire. I'm still pulling for Roman.

Any new coach is going to have to keep Allen and possibly Horton.

Well since I was spurned by the Razorbacks I'm going to stAte. I'll take all your 5.7 3-star recruits, win the Belt every year, get invited to CUSA, use my newfound household name to force a UA-stAte game, which will be played in War Memorial the Friday after Thanksgiving. I'll win that game, mostly due to confusion caused by both teams wearing black. stAte will then join the SEC, and tFlagship will tuck tail to the calmer waters of the BigXII. I'll be promoted to AD. I'll hire CBP to succeed me. He'll get Ellis Johnson and Whammy Ward to stay on staff this time, with a bit of help from Coach Recruiting Director JD, and we'll win a slew of crystal balls. You'll be sorry. You'll see. Oh yeah, stAte will start a perpetual series with UT.

Looks like it's back to HV for ol' CV, where I'll start endless threads bitching about the coaching staff and their lack of teaching CB's to look for the ball in the air, and the plethora of smoke draws.

I don't know why you're laughing at facts. Petrino's Louisville teams were more than respectable on defense by the time he got through there.

Jervenski Johnson has officially committed. Came to camp as a Safety prospect but the coaches tried him out at receiver the last portion of the last day and were apparently blown away by how good he was despite not playing receiver.

Talk about off the radar. There is no video on this kid and none of the sites even had a profile up for him before Monday.

Of course, he never would have gotten an offer from LSU. Let's just get that out of the way before LSU folks tell us...
