Jonathan Hilliman 3* RB 2014 is the NJ player we were hearing about.

Bielema and Pittman going out to see Lacy tonight.

Im so happy we're loading up on O-Line. You really need to bring in 4-5 lineman every year so you don't run into what happened to us this last year or 2

DW just retweeted that Zepeda the TE in PHX picked UNLV. Curious if BB and Pittman were swinging by to see him tonight too.

All this talk about 2014 players has me thinking coach B is pretty sure if who he has and who he doesn't so he's going ahead and getting a head start for next year

Meh, there is only so much they can do per NCAA rules, so instead of pick up basketball games or picking up chicks he's choosing to try to pick up 2014 recruits since that is kinda what we are paying him to do.

I'm surprised how little news we have had today. I expected this week to be fast and furious since we have so many spots still open and only a few days left.

The "big" weekend has been in the works for this weekend for a while now, at least that is what the recruits who have visits scheduled have been saying.
I think you will see more of OVs than the previous two and it was planned that way to give more attention to our top targets the past two weekends, AT, Collins, and all the linemen.

We aren't going to sign 25
We had a great OL commit today. What were you expecting?

Okay smartass. We're also paying him to pick up 2013 recruits and since he is spending a good amount of time on 2014 recruits a week before 2013 signing day it has me thinking that he has a very good idea of how this class will finish and therefore he is puting his efforts elsewhere.

Or maybe he is just a workaholic. Never heard much about BP jet setting all over the country two weeks before signing day. He has contacted more recruits in the last two weeks than BP did in all of 2011

I thought Dwayne Johnson was announcing today

To busy beating rooty poo candy asses on Raw tonight. Seriously though thought I saw on twitter or another board that he said he should choose sometime this week, sooner rather than later
Edit: Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson's HS coach tells HuskerOnline.com he thinks the recruit is now 50/50 on NU/Arky. -some husker blog on twitter.

10:07 update
Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema and offensive line coach Sam Pittman made an in-home visit with UCLA commitment and offensive lineman Kenny Lacy of Phoenix Mtn. Pointe tonight. Lacy, who visited the Hogs over the weekend, said in a text message that the visit went great.

Oh I don't know maybe have more than 2 visitors scheduled to come this weekend. The plan is for them to sign 25. It may not happen but that is what Coach B said he wanted to do. If he still thinks that way then I assumed there would be more information coming out this week setting up officials.

This weekend would be a good time to bring in KM, the DeQueen kid, the LR kid, try to get Stockton Mallett to walk-on, same with Tearris Wallace.
I'm guessing BJ Ross isn't going to have the grades, we've not heard a thing about him. Maybe sneak Toby Johnson in, or that 6-6 WR in NE TX that is badly under the radar.
If the coaches think there's anyone we may offer at the 11th hour, this is the time to bring them in before they sign elsewhere on NSD.

That's what I've been thinking. If we end up only getting, say, four more commitments, bringing us up to 20, then why not sign some of the local kids that might not usually get picked up in a 'normal' recruiting cycle? We don't have to sign a full 25--we could sign just 22, since we can sign 28 next year and count three back.
But let's say we did only sign 20 this year--we are still limited to 28 next year, with 3 able to count back, right? Or is the 28 limit the cap for signed players not able to count back?
I've never really understood that part of the rule.
