If JLS could get commits out of Hammons and Boyd this summer he'd move into the pole position on the coaching leaderboard before the season starts.

I was about to head out and go camping till it came through. now it's way to humid to sleep in a tent.

Ryan Timmons says we lead after his visit today. He wants to bring his mom back for a visit before deciding but he wants to have a decision made before his first game. I think we should be good here unless Ohio State offers. I know he has spoken pretty highly of them in recent interviews prior to this visit.

The Nike Sparq finals are on ESPNU right now. I'll be pissed if we let Colin Spencer end up at Kansas. The kid has measurables off the chart, and he's stated that UofA is his dream school.

Is Timmons a plan A guy?

I would say Timmons is a realistic plan A. They have been on him since pre-Petrino firing and are selling him big time on being the next Joe Adams.

It kind of seems like it with Jovon Wilson being high on us. Deondre Skinner is versatile and fast enough that he can split out as a WR. I think we are looking for more of the bigger TE's that can be used immediately on run Downs unlike Skinner who is going to have to hit the weight room for a few years a la Chris Gragg.

Personally, I would like to see us keep more TE's on the roster. I love how Stanford uses up to 3 TE's at a time and they all have different strengths. Its impossible to defend because they can have all three in a power formation and either run it or wreck havoc on the middle of the field by having the TE's releasing everywhere while sending a WR vertical to stretch the safeties.

We are actually super thin at TE too after this year. We'll have just Tate and Dean on scholarship since Peterson was booted. We have two invited walkons I think but I still believe we can take three and be fine.
