He’s a better tackle than guard. TIFWIW

These guys are basically professional athletes at this point. Imagine sucking at your job half the time and still thinking nothing should change

Especially when his backup has played really well at times and has real game experience? Why not give him more playing time?

Mistaken...

I'm just stating my opinion. I don't expect everyone to agree.

It just looked like Ty had room to step up in the pocket.

I just went back to look and you’re right. Formby is the one that stepped on Ty’s foot. In the end it didn’t really matter but we need to get the right side of the line figured out.

I have to assume Carrol hasn’t completely taken over because of knowledge more so than skill.

Wilkin Formby is a fricking loser. Get his arse off the field.

On the OL, speed and quickness are still our primary issue. When the D front 7 rushes with speed, quickness, and wrap stunts, our slow footed big boys cannot handle that. #74 has been improving on handling speed on the edge. He is not where he needs to be but he is far better than he was. Formby cannot handle speed off the edge. When Formby move inside to OG, a twist by the DL with an off line twisting bak inside, he does not have the "light feet" needed to push off with one hand and slide back for the twist pick-up.

#77 at OG is too forward in his stance to adjust cleanly to a twist redirect but he is a dude in clearing trees for the run game.

He had one of the worst performances I've seen in an OT in a long time. Just terrible. The total lack of effort was unforgiveable. Cuevas got a nice chip block on his man and he STILL got smoked by the DE. Just standing there like a tree. The second sack, he just stood there while his man blew by him and acted like he thought someone else was supposed to block his man (?!).

I'm sure he's a nice kid but he's just not getting it done.
I'm sure Formby's a good guy, but let's face the facts:
Wilkin Formby is NOT close to becoming an elite O-lineman for any of the top college football programs.
You can't teach athleticism, and his lateral pass block technique is "tortoise-like". I hate it for him, but it is what it is.

Maybe he can bring everyone enchilada boats and tacos. That would be some serious teammate stuff. Maybe sit a year and try to get better for 26

So yesterday you say all of our RB's "suck," and now you're calling an Alabama player a "fricking loser."

You have to either be a real piece of shite or 12 years old to post things like that about your own team, unless you're just the world's dumbest alter.

I think Formby and Roberts will battle out for guard spot going forward.

I think we will continue to see from by at tackle and rg along with van de mark and Robert’s at rg. LG will be Dewberry and Sanders. Who will play the most depends what the coaches want and health. That simple.

Better start improving or the dreaded Chris "Turnstile" Capps comparisons will start. But at least he wasn't being paid to play. (no booster was paying that guy under the table).

GVDM done? I dont think so. Staff likes him way too much.

Not sure what Formby is bringing to the table right now. Joka?

I watched some highlights and repeatedly Formby was just incredibly slow off the line. If Ty is a little slower to get the ball out he probably gets sacked 3-5 more times because Formby couldn't get a hand on his man.

It sounds like from what coaches said today, Carroll is close to being full time starter.

I’m all for Tuscaloosa City and County school recruits making a mark here. However, nobody is going to be comparing Formby to Bo Scarbough or Brian Robinson.

Formby is a much better run blocker right now!!

I think he still needs to shed weight but he's much improved from last season.

Keep developing

I didn't see that but you could be right.

Missouri's defensive ends were quick and that's always been a problem with our tackles.
