For the love of God why are not putting our best foot forward in this area? We now have a more than fair amount of explosive guys who can return punts. Kool-aid isn't one of those explosive guys.

It’s not about explosive speed. As Saban has mentioned many times a PR has to Catch the ball first with the least amount of mistakes. Rest is secondary to him. KoolAid is PR because Earle is injured.

Because he catches the ball effortlessly. It’s a lot more common to lose a game in this area than win one. Javier Arenas, Cyrus Jones, Jaylen Waddles, David Palmers don’t grow on trees.

Don’t forget Eddie Jackson, a magician.

We could have really used him this year. Having a receiver that can just get open consistently, even if not an explosive threat, would be so useful. Today would have been a lot different, especially considering Bryce's point guard style.

Where's Christian Leary? Clearly needs to be on the field some kind of way.

Do you think he's slow or something? He's one of the best athletes on the team. This is a weird melt.

I'm guessing it's because Jo Jo Earle and Aaron Anderson aren't healthy enough yet. At least I hope Anderson gets a shot at it when he's well. He looked like the best high school kick returner I've seen since Javier Arenas.

With the new blind-side blocking rule, I hate to see us try to return punts, PERIOD!

Speaking of which, why the hell do we continue to return kickoffs from deep inside our own territory? We almost never get past the 25 yard line, and frequently get half the distance to the goal line penalties putting us in the hole. Can't we just take the guaranteed spot at the 25 yard line? Drives me insane.
