It was his first damn game as a starter. Milroe looked like a dog in traffic his first big games against Texas A&M and Texas IN Bryant-Denny.

Did he miss a guy? Yeah

Did he miss a guy every three plays like Milroe against Tennessee last year? No

He's inexperienced but I wouldn't call this remotely similar to Milroe. Hell with Milroe I couldn't trust us to throw the ball in the red zone at all or execute a slant

Ok. I've been hearing all these glowing reports about Ty anf then I see the same guy we saw years ago against South Florida.

Yep. Maybe some slight improvement due to age but generally we saw that QB against FSU. Pretty clear now why he didn’t start over Milroe and it’s sad that those two are our only options over three seasons.

What’s even sadder is that we don’t have any real “dudes” on offense that can take over game or that we can lean on. There isn’t a guy that truly strikes fear in the other team.

From what I saw yesterday, it appears to me that Ty doesn’t throw well on the run, at least when it’s not a designed play. With this offensive line, that’s a problem…

OL play was not good. Simpson didn't cost us the game. We dropped about 8 passes.

Numerous no calls. Thought they hurt his arm when he landed on this one.

Riley was getting 6 yds a run but we kept rotating backs and then just quit running.

If Wommack and Kapikovic still have jobs after this season, we become the new Florida.

Fair, but I don't really think QB play was even the crux of the issue today.

The QB play was objectively poor. Jesse Palmer politely pointed that out multiple times during the broadcast.

He was missing guys and slow to see them come open at times.

In addition in part because of the slow reads he was getting pressured which led to him throwing off his back foot and missing easy throws.

Even worse, while I thought he did a great job at times escaping broken pockets, he showed he is wildly inaccurate throwing on the run. For a “dual threat” QB that isn’t gonna work.

He needs to be able to adjust at the LOS earlier in the snap count (how many times did he try to make adjustments with 7 seconds on the playclock on the road?), read and deliver in 3-5 seconds or he needs to be able to rollout and deliver on the move to stress defenses.

He did neither yesterday. If he were a freshman or sophomore I’d say it was a learning thing and suggest he needs time to develop.

If the light hasn’t come on with a top tier offensive coach, a renowned OC and an elite WR corps for a redshirt junior it probably isn’t ever going to.
