We've been pretty awful for a pretty long time. You'd think all fans would be conditioned to it by now. Maybe it's actually a smaller percentage than it appears to be, but the boards are polluted with bamatards who obviously had some unrealistic expectations even this late in the season.

Because we want to be good at Basketball? Just a guess.

note: I am not "freaking out," but I am pretty numb to it at this point, so I agree with your post to a degree.

Let me guess, one of those that would gladly cancel other sports to direct funding to football?

There are bb fans who remember when UA had a good team. This year is done. If CAG comes back then next year will be gone too. As a fan I want to have a team which I think has a chance to win whomever they play .

It's a good sign that alabama sites are freaking out about how far we've fallen rather than discussing football 24/7. We need more fans that have an interest in each program's well being.

Believe it or not, Bama was arguably the best SEC team in the 80's. Bama won the most SEC titles in the 80's. Kentucky had been going through a down period with probation and Florida hadn't risen up to their heights yet.
When Arkansas came into the league, they were one of the nation's best under Nolan Richardson. Bama and Arkansas had some of the best games in the early 90's.
Bama has been as high as a #2 seed in the NCAA tourney.
In 1976, Bama came the closest (yeah, moral victory) to beating the undefeated Indiana national championship team under Bobby Knight.
There is quite a rich tradition in basketball that has all but been squashed in the past 15 + years due to three straight sub par coaching performances, plus our administrations' apparent lack of concern.
Perhaps there are a few fans out there that would like to see teams wearing Crimson winning games and competing for championships.
Maybe it's just me.

Those Bama and Arkansas games were great in the early 90's. I believe we won the tournament by hitting a last second 3 against them in the finals one year.

If they're bamatards, we need more bamatards, and less fans like you.

Because we have the resources to put out an entertaining product, not a complete embarrassment.

We all thought we would have a lot better team with two suppose to be pretty good transfers to go alone with a good recruiting class and nothing but upper classman returning.

We aren't freaking out, we are just exhausted at this delay of Grant hitting the road Jack. Alabama is better than making the dance 1 time in 6 years. Bama should be in the top 3 of the SEC almost every year, not consistently a middle of the pack or worse team. Alabama is a sleeping giant and has the resources to be great if the AD would wake the frick up.

This went about how I expected. The lack of composure is just kinda sad. I want to see a good product as much as the next bammer, but I dont see how anyone thought we'd be worth a shite this year with Grant at the helm. Hopefully he will be gone soon and we'll all have something decent to watch.

Most of us were hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Your "freaking out" comment was just a hyperbole that rustled our jimmies.

Do you prefer...oh well, we will get them next year, and when next year comes...the same ol line?

Well the talent is there and our roster is as deep as it's ever been.

but you try to shite on everyone on this board for acknowledging our displeasure in the way our team is going.
Keep back pedaling
