So you only have them beating Ball State and one other SEC team? I'm going to say they can beat I'll say they beat Ball State, Auburn, South Carolina and split with either Tennessee and LSU. 7-5

Yup, and that's a maybe. Vanderbilt might can squeeze by South Carolina, but they can get after the quarterback a bit, so it's a tall ask.

Alabama hasn't played disciplined football in years, so we probably won't get that. I do think though we'll do a better job controlling the line of scrimmage.

I have no idea why Bama fans think disciplined football is some unchanging Bama standard. Are we forgetting that the latter part of Saban era was tons of penalties, and air raid offense outscoring bad defense

I have no idea why this board believes the Vanderbilt outcome would've been much different had Saban been on the sideline. Maybe it would've, but the fact of the matter is this is a Saban built team and over the last three years, his decline was obvious. He was burned out as shite and we did as well as we did on his fumes alone. The Saban tank was empty.

I have a life so I really don’t give a shite about Vandy’s record, but I’d say 6-6 to 8-4 is possible.

I don't know what that has to do with anything, but whatever.

Pin it down. Pick a record. I've got Vanderbilt at 5-7. How do you have them finishing? If you're right, bump the thread. I can handle it.

You apparently can’t handle this loss. That’s for damn sure.

I can handle it just fine man. I'm just chewing on it like everybody else. It's a major loss.

So pick Vanderbilt's record. Like I've said. I have them at 5-7. Are you calling 6-6 or 8-4? Shoot your shot homeboy. Let's have it.

You posted 5-7 earlier in this thread. What’s your actual pick? I’d say 7-5 at least unless Pavia gets hurt.

I've changed it. I meant 5-7.

Ok, you've shot your shot. I've got Vanderbilt going 5-7 and you have them at 7-5.

When the time comes, we'll bump the thread. I hope I'm wrong but I probably won't be.

And if I’m wrong when you bump it, I’ll pour a shot of whiskey and light a cigar to console how distraught I am over being wrong about Vandy’s record.

Saban did a remarkable job last year with the talent that he had to work with. The people who say we still have NFL talent all over the field are delusional. We don't have a single player currently on the defensive line that would have been better than third string (if that) on the Alabama teams of just a few years back. There are no equivalents to Jonathan Allen, AShawn Robinson, Marcel Dareus, Dalvin Tomlinson, Will Anderson, or Dallas Turner on this years team. There's a lot of reasons that's the case, but it's mostly due to players following the NIL money to Ohio State, Texas A&M, Texas, Oregon, Ole Miss, Georgia, etc. Saban was late to the NIL party out of an understandable abundance of caution after our previous experience with NCAA bias. We may have to reevaluate.

Aren’t any first rounders on defense yet. That’s for sure.

Wommack is not getting fired before the season is over. Stop it with this pipe dream. It’s not happening.

None.

It's not about the scoreboard. Our QB-WR combo can put up numbers.

Only thing that can convince me is next week at Tenn where rocky top will be running the ball on our asses to open up their passing game.

Other teams have found a way to slow them down. Can we?

I have major questions I wanted answered when we play rocky top

Will Wommack watch film and actually build a gameplan to stop them, then adapt after they change or will he fail and one or both??

Will those damn LBs find some heart or will we find someone who may not be as experienced but will play with some chest??

Will KDB hire outside analyst or seek Saban or others advice on what broke down defensively and how they would handle it??
