Were we outbid for Jordan Addison?

I remember there were rumors we were recruiting him once he got in the portal. I ask because we definitely could've used him this season.

Riley started recruiting him before last season even ended. No one on the Bama staff was scummy enough to think of such a thing, to their credit. It's not as if anyone looked at Addison's stats and decided to pass him up for Harrell and Burton.

Bama was too busy trying to get Utah's Dalton Kincaid to enter the portal by offering a huge money deal.
It's the game now, fortunately or unfortunately.

Well we need to up our scummy game because Harrell and Burton clearly weren't the answer. And, if we're trying to be "classy" Auburn will eat our lunch.

I don't think anyone was in it except USC. Visits to other schools was just to make it look like there wasnt any collusion.

As I understand it we were out is for Addison. But the USC offer was stupid money, to the point that we would have been idiots if we tried to match or raise. Also they were recruiting him way before he was in the portal.

I disagree. Think of Bama last year without Jameis Williams. You think Bama would have been in the playoffs?
WR killed Alabama this year. You can’t be a pass first offense without at least one big time WR in which we’ve had every year except this past season.

After his injury Bryce struggled throwing the ball deep or to the sidelines with any velocity. It wouldn't have mattered if Jerry Rice was playing for us. To be clear, I'm not blaming this on Bryce. I am blaming it on BoB for not running the ball more, especially in games like LSU.
