The good news is at least all those schools in 2018 are FBS schools. No more Western Carolinas! Second, frick those openers. We don't even get a full allotment of tickets to those games. IT's like the SECCG or a bowl; the participating schools get 1/3 of the tickets each and the balance goes to sponsors and shite. Yeah, easy sellout: give Bama nation 25,000 tickets somewhere reasonably close to Tuscaloosa and watch the feeding frenzy erupt. Sorry mother frickers!

Meh, New Mexico State is D1 FBS. I don't like us playing FCS, I'll take a low ranking team from the same league over another FCS.

I know I'm repeating all of our thoughts here, but could we just get a nice home-and-home with someone? These neutral site games lack gameday energy and excitement, and we are forced to interact with other fans in restaurants and bars in Dallas or Atlanta instead of experiencing their campus vibe. I want to make friends in Eugene, Seattle, Austin, Columbus, etc.,

As long as we are good, this isn't going to happen. The payout is much more than we'd get for scheduling a home and home.

There is still time to add a decent team, but with the opening game off the table who would play us?

The only "interesting"OOC game Saban's gonna schedule is going to come a the 1st of the season...then an easy one. It's not wise to put a hard game in the middle of the SEC schedule.
