Dwight was at all Alabama sporting events. If you ever saw a guy behind home plate at softball or baseball games in a full jersey then you saw Dwight. My parents seats at BDS were right next to Dwight after we were moved in the expansion of 2006 while I was in school. Dwight was basically a celebrity, wore his jersey and football pants to every game and brought his football. Our cluster of people guarded Dwight like a momma bear with her cubs whenever people would sit in his seat and try and tell him they were in the right place. He loved the Tide and everybody loved him

He apparently had a heart attack on the quad today and tragically passed away. You can check Aaron Suttles Twitter, as well as basically anyone who has played baseball for the Tide in the last 10 years for loving tributes and pictures of Dwight. Honestly, I kind of feel like a family member died. RIP Dwight, the North End Zone and all of Alabama will miss you.

Sorry, man. I lost a great friend who was a huge Bama fan as well the other day. I even invited him to this site on several occasions so I could have a troll tag team partner but message boards were never his thing. You guys would have loved his humor and over the top fandom. Never met anyone who could make me cry from excessive laughter like he could.

I can't emphasize enough that you should check up on your friends as much as possible and learn to forgive and forget, especially over stupid shite. You could wake up tomorrow and never have an opportunity to say sorry... Not to hijack your thread, but I felt it was relevant and appropriate.

Here's to hoping both of our buddies are finally at peace!

He sounds like a great individual. I don't know his age but assume he was an older man.

If you can't live forever go out doing what you love or enjoy. Hope my end is remembered half as well.

Good post. Thanks. I didn't know him but almost feel like I do.

Good stuff guys, everybody.

I hate to speculate because I never knew the particulars, but Dwight was in all likelihood a bit slower than most - but he was a great dude, loved the Tide and was nice to everybody around him.

Mitch Gaspard : We will Miss you Dwight!

I imagine he was a great person and fun to be around. I’m sure he will be sorely missed.

Roll Tide Dwight!
