Saban has a history of not wanting to replace QB's. Believe what you want.

Saban cut and ran after letting this crap fester and left DeBoer with a damn mess.

The info is legit.

If the problem is Ty Simpson isn't taking receivers and linemen under his wing for offseason conditioning then he just ain't playing the game correctly. He should have been taking the younger players and depth under his wings for player-led practice and workouts. Being the starting quarterback has always been about more than your arm. You gotta add value in other ways than executing the play call. This isn't some recent development caused by the favorite bugaboo of the message board poster: NIL and the transfer portal. It's just how asserting leadership amongst a bunch of men works.

Man, I would honestly love to hear the rest of that. That's exactly about what people had suggested was going on.

Not going to post the rest of it. Too bad for wide dissemination and it was posted on a pay site.

Clearly not because what I read from you suggests that Milroe out-politicked Simpson in the locker room and that's always been a thing to some degree.

the physical talent is there. It's just the mental aspect of his game that is lacking.

Not really disagreeing w8th this, ut accuracy is at least partly physical. Some dudes can just place a ball exactly where it needs to be while others just get it to the general vicinity. Not sure what was going on Saturday with all the airmail balls. It may have been the yips, and thus clearly mental. However, JM has always struggled with short to intermediate throws because they require more precision. He has been bad at screens or simple outs, often hitting the wrong shoulder and making the catcher retreat for balls and diminishing plays. It’s probably why we don’t screen more to beat pressure.

I agree. However, on Saturday, he had WRs open with no one within 15-20 yards and not even throwing the ball.

You are correct!! Look at Nebraska since Tom Osborne retired.

Oh, absolutely. If we are being honest, this happens pretty regularly in every game. Even games we have won, this has been a big issue. When you go to games in person and see the whole field rather than the limited TV view, it is so obvious.

Someone around springtime or maybe June/July told me that Milroe was the starter and I asked how? there hasn't been a fall competition yet. Then he goes to media days and that was that.

I think I'll trust Saban's judgement on anything football related before I trust a dumbass on a message board claiming they have inside knowledge of a football program.

Seems like DeBoer is loyal to those who stuck with the program after Nick split to a fault. Just like with Malachi Moore. And it's understandable to an extent. It could have been a COMPLETE rebuild this season. But we're halfway though now and he needs to start figuring out who his BEST players are and who those will be going forward. He's given his loyal one's more than a chance to prove they're better than the rest and they've pretty much shite the bed.

I think KDB is extremely loyal. That’s the one thing that has always scared me about his hire.

Quote of Saban I would love to hear, whatever he would have to Law after that crucial personal foul, Law would have been scared to see Saban.

Hell Miss Terry had to replace Kool-aid returning punts.

After 10 games.

I think Coach Saban was the same to an extent when he first got to the Capstone. But with NIL and the portal it's a finer line DeBoer has to walk. Depending on how the rest of the season shakes out and where Bama finishes, we'll see how loyal the players are to the program.

It amazes me that some guy sits in his basement, probably in his mom's house, probably in his underwear, probably overweight and puts something on the internet and...any body cares about what he thinks? - Nick Saban

Well doesn't an upvote equal caring though? If I upvote a post, then I obviously like the post. So I suppose I at least care a little about what some near naked, fat frick on the internet thinks.

Saban's off base here.

Buchner got the start at USF because he came from ND with Reece and was a known entity.

Tom Brady would have struggled because to O line was pissed at Milroe being benched.

My problem with not playing Simpson or whomever is we are going to limp to a 9-3 or 8-4 season, anyway. Get a QB some reps for next year.

I think we have a cancer in the locker room that needs addressing and Milroe is gone after this season, IMO.
