She seems to be doing better. Back to playing with her brother all over the house and yard.

It only cost me $1,229 in vet fees.

Glad that she’s out of the woods.

I was seriously gonna set the over/under at $2300. I think you did ok.

I’d set the kids down and say, “this is your free pass, if you have food or candy or anything like that in your room, go get it and you won’t be in trouble”. “After this free offer, I’m taking scalps, if I find something”

Uh, no. He has a job and will be contributing greatly to the "Brandy Rehab Fund."

We want one litter of puppies from her.

I don't give a shite about papers so I'm hoping we can find a West Highland Terrier to breed her with.

I think the puppies would be cool.

Westies seem like cool little dogs.

That'd be a good mix. They're traits are similar. Both are non-shedding.

I like non-shedding dogs whose ears stand up. Don't want them too big either.

Big dogs equal big shits and I don't want to pick up massive turds each weekend.

Agreed. Min Schnauzers & Westies are ideal size, imo. Pretty smart & trainable too.

If it makes you feel any better my brother spent 25,000 on his dog for treatments. I said thats a lot. He just shrugged and said, what are you going to do? I probably would have done the same thing. I have a snoodle. My sister in law says his only problem is that he doesnt know he is a dog.

I got a three legged soup bone (beagle & pit bull mix) got her at the BHS. She was a bait dog, she was in bad shape when they saved her. Back left leg was chewed to shreds, leg had to be amputated.

Built like a tank at 37lbs and fast as a cheetah. She’s a hot mess!! She gives my 12yr old American Bulldog hell. He gives me the look sometimes like… what did I do to deserve this?

On the Dr. Pol TV show, I've seen the vets give dogs the liquid charcoal treatment in suspected poisoning cases. What a mess but it works. Glad to hear your pup is OK.

We have a dog (Sam) we got from the pound when he was 8 months old. I was sitting in a chair when they brought him for our first look at him. He walked over wagging his tail, put his head in my lap, looked up at me and seemed to say "You gonna take me home?". That sealed the deal. We had him neutered and given all his shots. We live on Lake Seminole and he immediately took to waterfront living. He has Doberman/Dashound features, hunts like a Beagle and is very fast. He's caught and killed squirrels, rabbits, opossums and last week a small gator about five feet long. He weighs only 29 pounds but is very strong and is a real joy in our life. Just thought you'd like to read a good news story.

When dogs get into antifreeze, vets give them vodka. At least that’s what they used to do. Something about the ethanol

When anything or anybody gets into antifreeze you give them alcohol. It’s a competitive metabolism thing between the alcohol and the ethylene glycol. You want the liver processing the booze and not the antifreeze because the ethylene glycol is harmless itself but the liver will metabolize it down to some nasty, toxic shite that will destroy your organs and your life.

My daughter and wife went behind my back and adopted a German Shepherd about 18 months ago. Sweet dog, but he has a sensitive stomach and gets diarrhea at the drop of a hat. We have to give him probiotics daily or it’s like trying to clean up after a horse with loose bowels.
