Big grain of salt but our Adjusted Defensive Efficiency per Torvik was 76.5. Would have been our 2nd best defensive performance all of last year

Jarin should not go in the next NBA Draft.

He has 10 points and 7 rebounds. He played really well. Calm down.

Why did you cut out the latter part and quote only the former part?

Jarin had a good game today, but I said he needs to be consistency in his shooting to get to the NBA. He is not very athletic, so it will be hard for him to score in the post in the NBA. He needs to develop his 3PT and FT.

On a team with so much experienced depth, it's crazy how much the freshmen stood out tonight imo.

Reid is the headliner obviously and had a fine game, flashing what we know he can do, etc. Extremely excited to watch what he can do in our high tempo system this year.

But Labaron Philon looks just incredible. Did a bit of everything, brings an undeniable intensity and aggressiveness to both ends of the floor. On a night where every player on the team looked amazing, he probably impressed me more than any other player. Dropped 9 assists and 3 steals in his debut, not bad.

And Sherrell as well looks like an absolute monster of a player. No coincidence UNCA pretty much gave up on scoring the last 7 minutes while he was in there stretching his legs. Looks seriously imposing in there. 9 boards in 17 minutes as well.

Was an incredible freshmen class on paper but these kids look as advertised. We are absolutely fricking loaded.

Sherrell is a body ready to play CBB. I felt like he was taller than he actually was.

NOT. the place is sold out except for a few single seats. It will be paced most nights when conference play begins. You must sit at home and watch on tv.

I live in Texas so I was watching on TV last night.

It certainly looked half empty.

People like to complain. Especially on social media. Regardless, the seats were sold and we definitely need the $$$ And, most of us paying customers dont like the idea of a smaller, barn like, gym.

They said on the broadcast that they thought he's bigger than Cliff, and Cliff is a massive human being. Sherrell might be one of those guys who has some kind of awkward hangup about being 7 feet tall and insists on being listed at 6'11", or maybe he just hit a late growth spurt. Regardless he appears to be a legit 7 feet and ~250 pounds. He's a lot more physically developed than Bediako was as a freshman.

saw most of the game and was impressed with the newbies. Wow. Nelson seems to have started like some of his games when he went into a tailspin last year. He was 2 of 4 from the FT line which were his only points in the game. Even when healthy I see his Pt being minimal going forward.

Our two bigs were impressive. If we ever had to play two bigs at one time the paint would be covered. Long and athletic for most of this team.

As soon as he's off a minutes restriction he'll likely be in the starting 5 every game. Holy overreact.

Not an over react DA. Just merely an observation. You have to admit he went into a serious funk in the second half of the season last year. We have too much talent on this team that if he goes into a funk this year his PT will be reduced. We did not have that luxury last year. Merely an observation which is what this forum is for right. Opinions and thoughts.

He did go into a serious funk probably because he was being asked to play out of position. He also was outstanding in the tourney. And yes saying one of our best returning players will get minimal playing time after game one when he's on a minutes restriction is definitely an overreact. Also are you not allowed to type out dumbass on this board?

Jarin Stevenson looks light years better this year. Bigger, more in control and playing with confidence.

He’ll be in the NBA draft this season. No doubt about it.

Stevenson was posting up and playing tough in the paint, something he didn't do much last year. Remember that this should be his freshman year.

Shooting FT's is not playing out of position and there were games last year even his FT shooting was horrible. And then the next he was lights out. FT shooting at his level of play should be a given. And yes one can type out dumbass. This blanket statement is for anyone on this team. It has too much depth and talent for a player to go into a serious funk and not lose playing time. Would you agree with that observation? Have a great voting day.
