Alabama looked unstoppable in 2010 til the South Carolina game but UGA is playing elite football right now for sure.

It's easier to crush teams when your offense is consistent.

For instance the only TD we gave up yesterday was when pur offense turned the ball over on 4th down.

That obviously mentally affected our defensive players who came out dejected.

BOB is a significant problem. Our team has looked this way only since he has been our OC.

Yeah...I'm starting to get on the Bill O'Brien hate train because I just find it impossible to believe that our WRs are so untalented that they can't get open against ULM's DBs. I think some of the problem has to be scheme.

Watching how UGA varies its attack and uses the TE's to great effect makes our offense look very vanilla. BoB seems to have zero interest in doing anything unexpected.

Ed Zackary.

Nick and staff just need to get the best players into the right spots and improve each day.

Don't concern yourself with what the other fella is doing for that is just a useless waste of time.

I was actually jealous watching the Penn State offense. An actual team effort instead of the one man show. Alabama is basically 90s Hawaii with good players

So Alabama isnt running basically the Aaron Rogers offense? Alabama has no downhill rushing attack at all

Every one of our WR's was highly rated and coveted by other programs. People that think we somehow missed on the entire group are clueless. We probably don't have four as good as juedy, Smith, Ruggs, and Waddle, but we have enough talent that we shouldn't look below average. It's the coaching.

No, wishing for Penn States offense. The one that was a joke in most of week 1 and was a disaster all of 2021. The one that will likely go back to being a joke in a few weeks this year. The one where their fans were as down on their OL as we have been going into the Auburn game.

shite ain't perfect right now but good gosh the grass at every house in the neighborhood is not greener.

What do you mean by "Aaron Rodger's offense"?

Ok fine fine, I get your point. I havent seen any of Penn State other than the Aub game. If I had to choose, obviously id go back 7-8 years and take the Bama offense from then. Hell we may even be worse...but its still better the air raid which is incredibly boring football to watch.

Now I'm with you there. And the Aaron Rodgers offense line is actually scary accurate and immediately made me wonder how I hadn't seen that before. The running all around directing recievers stuff.

Ok another bad example as I dont watch much pro ball. The only GB ive seen is basically Rogers passing most plays, with just a few draws sprinkled in. If he has a good game, they win. If not, they lose

Georgia looks really good. If Bama plays them, I think the defenses are a wash. Bama has better special teams.

Where UGA has a massive advantage right now is on offense. Which is concerning considering they are starting a walk-on QB and we have the Heisman winner and their offense looks unstoppable while ours looks like a middle-school OC is running it blind-folded while intoxicated. Bottom line, Kirby made a good OC hire and Saban made a bad one this time around. Can Saban course correct with our offensive staff or is it too late?

As someone said they other day, Saban is older and not as quick to make changes sometimes as he needs to be.

I would argue that if we win last year, people would still think Kirby's inability to accept change and adapt is his Achilles heel.

We have two huge wins against Kirby's teams where we have been thoroughly outplayed that involve Saban making a massive and timely in-game change (switching out QBs) that I don't think Kirby would have ever made if put in the same situation.

This UGA team looks legit, but a team that looked like absolute dog shite right before the SEC Championship Game beat the hell out of a similarly hyped UGA team. And this Alabama team has a lot of time to get much better.

In the meantime, I hope UGA continues to trounce their opponents.

Respectfully, disagree. In fact, I'd switch the two around.

How do you figure? Both defenses have been really good. Bama is giving up 8 points per game and UGA 3. Bama played the best offense either has faced and in a hostile environment. You might give them a slight nod at this point but Bama’s defense has the chance to be elite as the year goes on. Also remember that a hallmark of our defense under Golding is that it tends to get better late in the year. By the time they play, I’d take Bama’s defense with the edge playmakers we have.

As far as offense, have you watched UGA? Like a well oiled machine. They literally could name their score each week. They go up and down the field with ease. Lots of creativity, trick plays, motion, reverses, you name it. They are what we looked like under Sark. Now compare that to the discombobulated offense Bama has rolled out there. No creativity. No down field passing game. Long stretches of nothing but punts during games. It’s been painful to watch. And we haven’t faced an elite defense yet. Nah, I stick by my original assessment.
