Zocko Littleton Jr

Top 60 recruit in his class and will probably move up.
Really good shooter, shot 44% from three last year and 90% from the free throw line.

Looks like no Nike for us. Hopefully that means Petty is coming back

What was the update on Nike?

Probably not a popular opinion around here but that honestly doesn't bother me very much regardless of what Petty ends up doing. I never really understood the purpose of pursuing a guy who wanted to voluntarily sit for a year before using his final year of eligibility. That seems like more trouble than it is worth in terms of future roster management considerations.

He looks like a solid player with a lot of potential and I would love to have him but Looking forward on the 2021-2022 team we would have JQ, JD, Shack, and possibly Primo in front of him at Guard. So it’s not that big of a deal

The update on Nike was he completely cut Arkansas from his list and he basically reopened his recruitment I think. No timetable for a decision now as far as I know. I’m guessing he was gonna commit to us and we told him to hold off to see what Petty is gonna do. Hopefully that means they think he’s coming back

I think that's a great sign as far as Petty coming back.

The state of Georgia is once again loaded with talent in the class of 2021, and one prospect who has seen his stock explode recently is James White. The skilled and talented wing is not yet currently ranked, but that should change when things are next updated.

At around 6-foot-5 with long arms and the ability to handle, pass and shoot, White has garnered major attention from high-major programs, with many big time offers coming his way.

About his recruiting explosion, White said, “I’ve been working very hard on my game, so this has made me very excited. I feel like I deserved the offers based on how I played and how hard I worked, but it isn’t something that is going to slow me down. I know I have to keep working and improving, and that is what I am going to do.”

White has been talking to Georgia, Florida State, Florida, Alabama, Arizona State, Creighton, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, UAB and Cincinnati on a regular basis.

One of his most recent offers came from Arizona State, and that was something he liked quite a bit.

“I’ve been talking to them for a while,” said White of Arizona State. “They watched film of me as a staff and decided they wanted to offer me. It was very exciting to get the offer from them, and they have told me how well I fit in with their program and how they use their guards.”

Another school that has stressed fit with White is Alabama. The Crimson Tide staff has prioritized White and made him feel like a top target.

“I feel like they really like me as a player,” said White of Alabama. “They tell me that I fit their style well and I agree. I feel like it would be a good situation for me. I’ve been on zoom calls with them, and they are a great coaching staff.”

One player that White does get compared to is Devin Vassell. Like White, Vassell was from Georgia and blew up later in the process. Now Florida State is hoping to get White to replace Vassell.

About the Seminoles, White said, “I feel like we have a really good relationship. They have been talking to me for a while now. They came and saw me at my school during the season and make sure to call and stay in touch. Coach (Charlton) Young and Coach (Leonard) Hamilton make sure to talk to my parents a lot and have a good relationship with them.”

Within the state borders, both Georgia and Georgia Tech have also made it clear to White that he is a priority.

When it comes to Tom Crean’s program, White said, “I’ve been on a zoom call with them which was good. They are pushing me hard, and they feel like I fit in. All of the coaches are texting me a lot. Athens is close to home, and I feel like they give me a good situation.”

About Georgia Tech, White said, “That is also a good situation for me. Coach (Julian) Swartz is my main recruiter and he is always checking in on me. We have a good relationship.”

Right now, White is in no hurry to make a commitment, but he does know what he will be looking for in a program when the time comes to make a decision.

“I am looking for a school that fits my play style and wants me,” said White. “Relationship wise, I want a team that is like a family and coaches who will develop me as a player and a person.”

Two days until the contact period begins, making 2022 prospects aka the incoming junior class, eligible to be contacted by college coaches.

I fully expect tons of midnight phone calls and text messages.

Calvary Christian’s Gregg Glenn should hear his phone buzz a lot over the next few days with the contact period beginning at midnight. The 6-foot-6 forward out of Fort Lauderdale, FL has an impressive resume despite being just a sophomore.

Glenn is a multiple time USA Basketball invitee and landed his first high-major offer during Spring of his freshman year. He does lead an impressive recruitment as many programs find intrigue in his upside. With his size he can score the ball well but his court vision is really impressive as well.

He holds offers from Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Iowa State, Miami, and his first high-major offer, Oklahoma State.

In addition, Glenn says he has tons interest from several programs as well. Amongst those involved without offering a scholarship include: Iowa, Michigan, USF, amongst others. Despite not having tons of schools involved, I do expect plenty of more programs to get involved.

Glenn says he’s expecting to hear from all of the programs who offered him on June 15th when the contact period opens up.

With him being amongst the notable prospects in his class, it does give him an outlet to be seen by all different types of people, so I asked Glenn what his thoughts are on the G-League route, his answer?

“I think the G-League route is good and bad at the same time because I heard that you only play 12 games. The good part is that you get to get a little bit of the NBA feel.”
