I thought about that but truth is how is that different from the days of when Mark Gotfired put together great classes at Bama? We got passed over by Marvin Stone (RIP) but ended up with Erwin Dudley. Not to mention the other great post players along with Kennedy Winston. H3ll, Gerald Wallace picked Bama.

Some of the best cbb players were folks nobody gave much thought on: Emeka Okafor, Juan Dixon and most of the Maryland team that won the NC.

If ten players go to the g league that would mean the trickle down effect would make Kentucky and Duke start looking at players ranked 10 - 100 instead of 1 - 100, it's not gonna be as big of a deal as people are acting like. I think 10 leaving a year is on the highside, I think it will be 5-10 most years.

But you have to think that the blue bloods will still expend a ton of time and resources recruiting 1-10. They not just going to assume they are GLeague bound and ignore them. For the 10-100, schools that have been on them the longest and recruiting them the hardest will have a strong case. I love our chances with this coaching staff vs anybody with those variables.

True, and not all the players 1-10 are gonna go to the g league, colleges will still recruit them, they still recruited RJ Hampton last year and Jalen Green this year and it was pretty obvious that neither would end up playing in college.

Ziaire Williams who is the 5th ranked player in the class turned down a g league deal worth close to 500,000.

It's looking like Greg Brown, who is the 8th ranked player in the class is gonna turn down a 400,000 offer from the G league to go to Texas.

Looks likely top 5 recruit and Kentucky signee Terrance Clarke will turn down a g league deal worth close to 500,000 too.

The G league isn't for everybody, there will be plenty of top players who still go to college.

Holy Crap Man, you’ve been whining about this topic since last night...... Harper pretty much summed it up Perfectly in his post. It’s not worth arguing about anymore

He hates most of our players if it's any consolation.

Looks like we may be done with this class, I guess Anselem is the only one left that we have been mentioned with and I don't think we are recruiting him very hard.

I’m not judging Petty but there were fans on this board (myself included) that were down on him the one season he spent with Sexton. It may be totally unfair to categorize him this way but if you remember, there was a period late in the season when it appeared like the other players like Petty (and others) had soured on Collin. They didn’t seem to be playing hard and were leaving it up to Collin to carry the team. That may have been youth since most were freshmen and sophomores or it may have been Avery’s coaching or maybe something else. But the team gave off the vibe that there was a division in the locker room between Sexton and everybody else.

Arizona State just offered Top-35 junior Charles Bediako, he told @Stockrisers. The Canadian big man, once considered a potential reclass, but has said he won’t be doing that.

Yea, I wish Petty the best, wherever he plays. He just isn’t one of my favorites. He’s nowhere near the Shannon Hale level though

I have players like this in most sports. Diggs was one of, if not the best corner we had and I just wasn’t fond of him. Same way with Mack Wilson. John Parker Wilson. Chris Anderson back in the early 90s.

Should we start a new thread for the 2021 class since 2020 is pretty much wrapped up?

Looking towards the 2021 class, now that 2020 is pretty much wrapped up,

Seniors

Herb Jones
Alex Reese
Galin Smith
Jordan Bruner

Likely returnees

Quinerly PG
Primo PG/SG
Shackelford SG
Ellis SG
Gary Wing
Ambrose Wing
Miles Wing
Rojas F/C
Davis C

We are in on more recruits than this, this just seems to me to be the ones we have offered so far that we have the best chance with/seems to be mutal interest.

F/C Priority targets

Jabari Smith - 5 star - 6'10 210 lbs from Powder Springs Georgia - ranked 5th in the class -long shot Highlights

Charles Bediako - 5 star - 6'11 215, from Canada - Ranked 21st in this class - Has played with both Primo and Ambrose in the past, we were thought to be the leader at one point. Have a solid chance to get him. Highlights

Daimion Collins - 4 star C - 6'9 190 from Atlanta Texas - Ranked 23rd in this class - Would really like to have this guy, he said back on March 7th that Alabama, Texas, LSU, Oklahoma, and USC were the schools prioritizing him. Highlights

Other forwards we are recruiting pretty hard

Alex Fudge 4 star SF- 6'6 175 lbs from Jacksonville, FL - Ranked 78th in this class - I like this guy a lot, he plays a lot bigger than 6'6. Highlights

G Priority Targets -

JD Davison - 5 star combo guard - 6'3 175 lbs from Letohatchee, AL - Ranked 19th in this class - We are thought to be his leader at this point, with us and Memphis being his top 2. Highlights

Daeshun Ruffin - 4 star PG- 5'9 165 lbs from Jackson, MS - Ranked 39th in this class - Probably an Ole Miss lean at this point, but we are up there too, he said he has high interest in us. Highlights

Other guards we are recruiting pretty heavily

Malaki Branham 4 star - 6'4 175 lb SG from Akron Ohio - Ranked 26th in this class - told @Stockrisers that he’s completed virtual calls with Ohio State and Xavier and is working on scheduling some others. Louisville, Mizzou, Alabama, amongst others in the mix Highlights

Dallan Coleman 4 star SG - 6'6 195 lbs from Callahan, FL - Ranked 48th in this class - listed Alabama, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Louisville and Memphis as the schools prioritizing him. Highlights

Chance Moore 4 star - 6'5 165 lbs SG from Powder Springs Georgia - Ranked 66th in this class Highlights

Things about Petty I like:
--his 3-point shooting last year
--his rebounding
--his hustle (most of the time)

Things about Petty I don't like:
--him dribbling on a fast break; I would like to see the stats on how many times the ball was taken from him; had to be more than half the time
--his haircut (it's his business, but reminds me of Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons)
