Javian’s attitude is absolutely awful.
I remember after one of our bigger wins,
I think it was Auburn or LSU, the players were walking past the students at the end of the game, all smiling and high fiving each other (the players and students), and Javian just had this pissed off look on his face and walked through not celebrating at all or not high fiving anyone, I was like wtf is wrong with this guy, all the other players seemed very excited to have won.
I guess he is only happy when he plays well which is rare, not about the team at all apparently if he can't celebrate after a big win.

I believe scholarships are year to year so Oats can do what he wants.

1. If we have 14 players, & Oats asks a player to leave, can the player flat out say no? He signed with the team, can Oats cut anyone he wants or does the player have to agree to it too?
2. What date do Herb, Petty, Kira have to announce whether they are staying in draft or returning to school?
The coach is basically gonna tell the guy that if he stays there won't be any playing time for him due to the other players we added and that's usually enough for them to get the point and look somewhere else where they can actually get some playing time.
Oats isn't the only coach to process players, Saban has been doing it for years, surprised that some people are surprised Oats is doing this or saying they don't like it, Saban does it every year and so do pretty much all college coaches.

The deadline was May 29th last year but it may be pushed back if the draft is pushed back

Last year his shooting fell off, not sure if it was because of the hip and knee injuries he got in a slump or what, but if he could get back up to close to how he shot two years ago he could definitely have a role off the bench.
Took a lot more threes last year too. His first two years combined, he had 146 attempts. Last year alone, he took 171 shots from the perimeter.

I thought this was the case too. Didn't they just change that a couple years ago to where scholarships are given one year at a time now?

Yeah, I didn't feel like getting into it earlier when I saw that comment. But that type of stuff happens literally everywhere and isn't some kind of secret.

Lmao you know him personally?

I don't understand what me knowing him or not has to do with what you quoted.

Lmao...I'm going crazy. For some reason I read Oats isn't the type to process players. Apologies!

It seem that it was only a few years back that Goff was fired, in part, because he was threatening to take away guys' scholarships. He was apparently unaware that when he stepped up in Division 1 status the rules were different and athletes are awarded four years at once, not yearly-renewable scholarships. At his previous Div. 1 level it was year-to-year, but at whatever level teams like Alabama are at, it's different.
That rule may have reverted back to year-to-year since then. I don't know for sure.

I hope I’m not coming across as one of the guys who don’t like players getting processed. I’m all for it. It’s a business. I want teams I cheer for to win, and processing bad athletes is apart of the plan. Alex Reese & Galin Smith’s “feelings” don’t interest me.

No I wasn't referring to you, I know you're stance on it.

Javian is just selfish tbh. Only cares about himself and he’s happy when he plays a lot and mad when he doesn’t.

He can go then, no room for that in this locker room.

Bama’s out of the running for Muhammad.

I really wanted him but at least he isn’t going to Auburn

Dang, that's a surprise. Maybe this means we have a better shot with Nolley than most assume.

Not sure about this staff's ability to recruit...

My biggest hope is that we get Petty to return. That’d be the second biggest get besides Bruner imo
