I thought Herb actually did pretty well at point last year when asked to. Primo should be solid at it too.

Shackelford looked a little bit lost when asked to do it but his 2nd year in the system he may be better at it.

It was pretty clear from early on that he was gonna go to the highest bidder. He did the same thing in H.S. which is why he was at Mountain Brook. I thought his parents seemed pretty set on him going out of state to play college Bball just like his brother did.

Davidson's family seems to want J.D. to stay close to home. Completely different situations, not even worth comparing.

I pretty much hated every set where Herb was asked to run point unless it was an actual fast break. I hope we have a much better ball handling option this year.

He was terrible at it two years ago but last year he was the primary backup PG when Kira went out til he got his wrist injured and did good at it I thought. He was better at it than Beetle or Shack anyway imo.

It looks like we will have position less basket so we really will only need one point guard. Everyone on the team outside of the five will be able to handle the rock.

It’s going to be glorious. 5 guys at all times that are just flat out good at basketball (shooting/dribbling/driving/passing).

I have nightmares of the last few seasons. We had a lot of 1 trick ponies who were great at 1 thing, but couldn’t do anything else. For most of them, shooting was something they were REALLY bad at. I don’t see how you expect to win with so many awful shooters.

I had no confidence in any of these guys making a shot outside of 7-8 feet (Donta Hall, Jimmie Taylor, Daniel Giddens, Herb, Dazon, Bola, Galin, Avery Jr). These were high minute guys who couldn’t help spread the floor, and crushed our offense. I can’t wait to see the O next season where all 5 players are athletic, skilled, & dangerous.

^ not an insult to Herb, he’s valuable on an offense first team like we have now, he does the dirty work.

This won’t be true much longer.

Dear Lord, first I’d like to ask for this Corona virus to clear up and go away. Second, I’d ask you to bless Alabama Basketball with a PF or Center with talent. One of each would be perfect, but I don’t want to get greedy.

If Ellis and Primo both get around 30-32 minutes a game next year who do you guys think averages more points per game between the two?

Alabama led for Watford all throughout his sophomore and junior season. Once the season his senior year started going downhill, even players on the team at that time started telling him to go elsewhere. Ultimately Avery was fired and there was no hope then. If Alabama made the tournament and Avery didn’t get fired, Watford was going to Alabama.

Was told Bruner should commit sometime this week with it being a dead heat between Alabama and Baylor.

I doubt either of them will get that many minutes.

I didn't say they would. The point was if they both get a similar amount of minutes whatever it is who would score more points. I think Ellis would.
