Dude is a Bama fan. His twitter had a lot of Bama stuff on it until His recruitment got serious. Doesn’t mean anything though because Trenton Watford was also a huge Bama fan and decided to take the money.

Either add someone else or play JQ 35 mins a game and have Herb/Primo/Keon play point the other 5 minutes. That’s my guess

Yea. i don't like the thought of that. Hope we add another primary ball handler as insurance with the way injuries have gone lately.

Granted I’ve only watched (relatively long) highlight videos, but I don’t see a backup PG role for Ellis. The eval on him needing to tighten up his handle a bit seems fair. His handle looks pretty good but maybe not backup point good. Obviously I could be wrong.
Maybe they just think we have a pool of decent to good ball handlers (JQ, Herb, Shackleford, Primo, Ellis, etc.) and that’s enough. Or maybe somebody else is on the way.

I haven't heard anything about Darius Perry lately but I know we contacted him when he entered the portal. He is a solid PG, I wonder if we are recruiting him hard, former top 75 recruit.
Pettway recruited him pretty hard out of HS.

I’m not saying he’ll pull a Watford, but we’ve seen this story play out before. I used to provide illegal links for him on Twitter to watch us play the no-name, non-conference games. He watched every game of ours that he could. Until Memphis or LSU is punished, I won’t feel comfortable about landing any 5-star player they’re involved with.

Memphis has one recruit committed in this class and he isnt rated. I think their class is ranked 100 something. If they are still offering players money its not working. I assume the ncaa is watching them pretty closely after the wiseman thing.
Watford is pretty different than Davidson , I dont think we ever led for him even his brother went out of state to indiana

We definitely led for him before the last year of his recruitment.

Based on what do you think we led?
We never got a crystal ball for him on 247. His first crystal ball was for Memphis back early in 2018, over a year before he committed. The only teams to get crystal balls for him were Memphis and LSU. I never heard that we led for him and I follow our bball recruiting pretty closely.

It looks like we will have position less basket so we really will only need one point guard. Everyone on the team outside of the five will be able to handle the rock. With that being said id still like another primary ball handler.
