I think all Juniors should declare and get feedback. But this year with COVID-19 how are they gonna be able to workout?

They arent gonna be able to workout for teams and ore draft interviews are gonna be done over the internet.

Makes guys like Petty more likely to return to college probably.

The waiting game. The only thing Josh Primo has to do, for the most part, is commit. It could come at any moment. We had expected for the four-star to end his recruitment in March, so a decision within the coming days would not be a surprise.

Primo has not detailed a final school list of any kind but he will decide between Alabama or Creighton. Both have major needs in the backcourt and could use Primo immediately next season. However, the latest intel that I have been able to gather has surrounded the Canadian selecting the Tide whenever it is the time to do so.

if Will Wade gets involved, the situation could become very fluid.

Found this on Twitter:

Is Alabama done recruiting Mane?

Hard to tell, but Josh Primo looks to be the priority. Mane not discussing too much specific until he can figure out if/where he can visit.

Hopefully Wade’s bag men have COVID19 since LA is growing cases faster than anybody.

Oats said that depending on how many commitments we get, he is gonna have to have some talks with some current players and while he would rather do it face to face he may have to do it over the phone. So depending on how many we get to commit I think is gonna determine how many he encourages to leave.

Kira and Hawkins leaving opens up two spots, then we are recruiting as if Petty is gonna leave so that's three. Still a possibility that Petty comes back and if we have recruited someone in his place then someone else will obviously have to transfer.

I think we will sign four or five more players if we can.

"As we start to get some commits, we'll have those conversations, and they may be a little bit harder conversations as they see different guys committing to us."

Mane is basically deciding between Michigan State and the NBA from the latest I have seen.

Another Josh Primo highlight video I found. Most scouting reports you read about him just mention how he is a three point sniper, but his ball handling and passing skills are underrated. Should be a great fit in this offense as he can shoot really well but is also good in transition. Really impressed by his passing.

twitter video

Another good highlight video of him from Basketball without Borders a couple of months ago.

It depends on how many we could get to commit, if we get 4 or 5 good players to commit and Petty leaves we would probably take them all, one or two of our current players would have to transfer in that scenario. You guys know who the possibilities are there. Probably sign either 3 or 4 more if Petty comes back.

I hope so too but Oats said they are recruiting as if he and Kira are leaving, so with Bettle also gone that's three guards we lose and we haven't signed any yet, so I think we sign at least three guards, and big who is an upgrade over the ones we have currently if we can.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you used to only get one chance to test the NBA waters and come back. If you went through the vetting process a 2nd time, you were gone. This is Petty's second go round, isn't it? So if he does go to the combine, etc, he gone, right?

Is his handling good enough to be backup PG? I would hate to have another situation like this year where we are forced to play JQ 38mins a game like Kira

No 1st. He only entered the transfer portal last year and didn’t do anything after his freshman year

Gotcha. Thanks. I hope Petty comes back and continues to improve his game. We just need a couple of bigs that don't squat to pee.

He tested the draft waters last year after the season but came back, there isn't a limit to how many times a player can do that, they can go through the process after their freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons and come back to college each time as long as they don't hire an agent.

If you hire an agent you can;t come back to college.
