Per @bamahoopsig, Josh Primo (@JoshuaPrimo4) will take an official visit to Alabama beginning on the 28th. Primo is a member of the 2021 class and is a top 50 recruit. Possible reclassification candidate #RollTide

Nice. Who is our main competition for him? I guess we are trying to start a Canadian pipeline

Honestly, I don't know anything other than his 247 profile.

We're in on Charles Bediako as well, another canuck from 2021.

Ambrose, Bediako, Mane, Primo...lots of frequent flyer miles to see the Canadians. If we landed a couple to go along with Bohannon’s recruiting for baseball, I’m pretty sure we’d be Canada south.

Shot makers sit among the most desirable recruits in today’s game which make Deebo Coleman a priority for some of the best along the east coast. The top-40 junior showed great progressions at the Kreul Classic over weekend and is expected to visit three schools in the coming weeks and months.

“I have been working on my athleticism and perfecting my jump shot,” Coleman said about where his focus is rght now. “I would say that I shoot the ball well, handle the ball and am a leader.”

Having taken unofficial visits to Alabama, Clemson, Florida and Wake Forest this fall, all four are heavily involved within his recruitment, as is Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Memphis and Oklahoma State, he told Rivals.com.

Alabama: “They run a fast-paced offense, they get up and down, and it is kind of similar to the offense that we run. They want to get out as fast as possible.”

Clemson: “The visit there was good. They just keep saying that they need a stud and that it could be me.”

Florida: “I like them. I have a good relationship with some of their players and the coaching staff. It (location) could be a factor but right now, I am just open.”

Memphis: “They are prioritizing me in my class because they want a guy that can knock down shots and stretch the floor. I was born and raised there so there is a connection.”

Oklahoma State: “I am looking forward to seeing the whole campus there. I haven’t had a chance to talk to (Mike) Boynton a whole lot but I have been talking to (Erik) Pastrana a lot and we have just been building a good relationship. He didn’t get in-depth about them much yet but they said they could use me with Cade Cunningham coming in and him being a one-and-done, I could come in and play.”

Wake Forest: “I like that staff. They all have coaches that played in the NBA or have experience there and point guards, as well.”

WHAT'S NEXT?

Coleman is not done taking visits during his junior year. “I am supposed to be taking official visits to Oklahoma State and Iowa State. I don’t have dates yet but I will probably do those during the season,” he said. “I am also taking an unofficial visit to Memphis next weekend.”

A good-sized shot maker with a great feel and potential on the defensive end, too, Coleman has remained on the proper track with his game and skill development. A commitment is not expected anytime soon as Coleman’s recruitment is likelier to expand before it condenses. Look for the top-40 guard to schedule a slew of visits next year and take his recruitment through the travel season before giving a greater look at the programs recruiting him during the latter half of the summer.

Let me say this first; things are far from complete in the recruitment of Karim Mane, so while he might make for a good fit at Marquette, defeating Alabama, DePaul, Maryland, Memphis and Michigan State will not be easy.

If he does decide on the Golden Eagles, while filling the shoes of Markus Howard will not be easy, this is one of the best scorers that the college game has seen this decade, Mane has the talent and abilities to erase some of the void left by the All-American. Mane wants the ball in his hands early and often next year; Marquette is one of the few that can offer such an opportunity. Mane’s size and versatility allows for him to play a variety of positions along the perimeter and while his shot making is not that of a Howard-type, his toughness and ability to get to the foul line neutralizes his perimeter shot-making inconsistencies to an extent.

While he would be a great win for the Golden Eagles, let’s not slight Marquette’s backcourt as is. I love Dexter Akanno’s abilities on the defensive end, Koby McEwen’s well-rounded approach, and that Greg Elliott and Symir Torrence have what it takes to take on a giant role in Steve Wojciechowski’s offense.

He seems like a terrific prospect but a long shot like everyone we are recruiting.

So who all will be processed? Bolden is the only senior and we already have Ambrose for that spot. Kira isn’t going to the NBA. Wouldn’t we have to ask some guys to leave to open another spot or two? Or do I have my numbers wrong?

How? I like Kira but there’s no way he’d be drafted if he left for the NBA right now. Petty probably has a better chance of getting drafted.

All i'm saying is we don't know for sure yet.

Kira could finish the season on a tear like we know he is capable of, and work his way right up draft boards.

He's averaging 17/5/5, he's just been a little inconsistent and turning the ball over a little more while learning a new offensive scheme.
