I think basically the key to whether we are competitive next season or it’s an extensive rebuilding year rests on Kira and Trendon being in Crimson.
Keep Kira and lose Watford we have a small chance at being good.
Keep Trendon and lose Kira and we’re in deep shite and better be finding a PG. Next season will be rough.
Lose them both, total rebuild, NIT bid might be difficult.
Land them both, we’ll finish in the middle of the SEC, be a dangerous team on a given night and have a decent chance of sneaking into the Dance.

Why dumb down expectations?
People expectex this roster plus Kira to easily make the tournament so why should that change with better coaching even without Kira?

Because Kira was Freshman All-SEC and is the only PG currently on the roster. Without Kira, someone will be playing out of position and we will struggle without a grad transfer and even then, Kira was very good and had huge potential. Hard to replace.
Nate just touched down in Destin to meet Trendon and family. I wonder if he’s ever been there. He shoulda took the wife and kids. That would help ease the anxiety of moving. Look, we’re a short car ride or even a shorter plane ride from this!!

I feel pretty safe saying that the players that have talked with CNO and aren’t in the portal are staying. They’d be shopping if they weren’t.

Looking at that video i see no reason why Galin or Fleming couldn't play in that system. I think Fleming woukd be pretty good in it with some conditioning.

I think Galin is decent but we never played to out players strengths. Kid wants to go up with his left but yet Avery put him on the left block where he has to turn to the middle of the lane to get his shot off smh.

I was just playing it safe. I think a few players could be swayed away by who else we add. For example, if we added Beverly, I’m not sure Diante Wood would hang around. You’re right, most of those guys are VERY LIKELY to stay, I was only adding 100% certain guys though.

With a new coach I believe it's a possibility, but I thought with Avery coming back that we would struggle. I never had high expectations for next season

Reminds me of a Wimp story. The Wimpster was a relentless recruiter. There was a basketball player from Bham that he was after but the kid had not committed. The kid was also a good baseball pitcher, so when he pitched Wimp would go to the baseball game and sit right behind the catcher. Wimp said every time he looked toward home plate he would see me right behind the catcher.

So many players Wimp put in NBA. He had a lock down defender named Keith Askins. Very average on offense, but lasted many years in NBA just on his superior defense.

When do yall think we gonna hear something about Kira?? I know Nate said he was gonna workout with the team to give Nate a chance to coach him before he made his final decision.
