SEC Offseason Power Rankings:
1. Kentucky
2. Florida
3. LSU
4. Mississippi State
5. Alabama
6. Auburn
7. Georgia
8. Ole Miss
9. Tennessee
10. Arkansas
11. Texas A&M
12. South Carolina
13. Missouri
14. Vanderbilt

I think Kentucky/Florida are clearly 1 or 2. I would have Florida 1 but if Kentucky can land Dante and get him to reclassify, that would change things.

The next tier is LSU/MSU/Bama. Wouldn't be surprised to see either of those teams finish 3rd. In the same case for Kentucky, if LSU can land Dante and reclassify him. I think you could argue they bump up to 2nd, with Kentucky sliding down

Things become more colluded after that but he seems to have Tennessee lower than others which I think he is right. Auburn/USCe are the hardest teams to judge imo. I would swap Ole Miss and UGA. Vandy is the clear bottom team.

I think 1-13 are all gonna be solid teams this year.
I think UGA is being overvalued because of Edwards though and will be a bottom 4 team

Maybe it's me, but I trust Pearl as a coach more to be able to get his team to bounce back and have another successful season than Wade.

I also think people are putting too much stock in Georgia this year.

I agree, I would normally have a roster like Auburn a little lower but Pearl is the x-factor on why they will be tough to judge.

Jon seems to be higher than most. There are some recruits coming in with Edwards that are getting overlooked a little but they are going are still thin in the front court. IMO this is a top 5 SEC team if Claxton would have returned but he is not so I tend to agree with most people who have them in the bottom half of the league.

The talented wing had a superb Summer on the Adidas Circuit averaging over 17 points per contest in helping Wildcats Select reach the quarterfinals of the Adidas Gauntlet Finale. Bridges goes in depth on each of his 10 finalists below.

The visit I took to Ohio State was amazing and coach Holtman and coach Pedon have made me a priority.

With Alabama, a staff member was at almost every game this Summer and I love their style of play.

For Miami, I talk to Coach Larranaga almost everyday and I have a really strong relationship with Coach Fisher. Their last 4 wings have gone to the NBA.

I talk to Coach Miller every day and when you think of college basketball it’s hard not to think of the Indiana Hoosiers.

I have a strong relationship with the entire staff at Xavier and trust that they can help me become a pro.

Texas A&M – Coach Williams is a great coach and the SEC is a great conference to play in.

West Virginia is my home state school, 15 minutes away from my house. I have a strong relationship with the whole staff and some players.

Pitt is close to home, the Capels have done a great job recruiting me.

Coach Capko has done a great job at building a strong relationship with me in a short time. Also USC is a great school for basketball and academics.

Oklahoma State has also built a great relationship within a short time and have a great plan to make me a professional.

Jalen is one of the most coveted prospects in the country based on his combination of perimeter shotmaking, defensive versatility and college readiness. Bridges is going to be a tremendous addition for one lucky program and we anticipate the 6’8 wing to be a rotational player the moment he steps on campus.

Y’all please keep the Bauman family in your prayers. Adam is Bama’s Director of Basketball Operations. He and his wife had a daughter on July 26th but something went wrong and she passed away later that day. She lived only about 5 hours. I know they must be devastated with grief. The story was posted on Twitter and Oats mentioned it too.

Moved to Florida for basketball reasons but is from Arkansas and for all intents and purposes seems to really still love his home state. He comes back a lot for different charity programs and still is good buddies with most of the Arkansas '20 high school class. Great basketball player and even better person off the court from what I have seen and heard.

I thought the move to Florida was going to really hurt our chances but he still seems to lean Arkansas imo. He had an unexpected visit at the school and new staff, a weeks ago, that wasn't reported till after it happened. I believe you could argue it is the staff's number one target and would be mine as well. I know Musselman and another assistant coach went to Colorado this weekend for the USA camp to see him and Byrce Thompson play. Seems like Musselman has made sure he was the one at most of the camps and tournaments Moses was involved in.

I believe it will all just come down to how well he clicks with the new staff. i guess you would have to argue Florida is the biggest threat as of right now. I still think he wants to play in his home state when its all said and done but I guess you never really know with some of these kids. Would really suck not to land him when we seem to have the advantage from the start. The kind of player Arkansas has to start landing more of it if they ever want to return to glory.

If they have already been hit with "real strong penalties", how have they not been made public considering they are a public university? The minute they received the letter from the NCAA the media should've demanded to see it.

Very good insight. We had some staff in Colorado as well - I wonder if that is when he came onto our radar.

But if Auburn somehow managed to keep it under wraps (sneaky bastards) then the media et al would not have known to ask for it/filed an FOI request. Now that it’s out there, we’ll get the details real soon.
