Is there any particular reason that they are apparently not going to do anything about the HC of a program coordinating with a runner to buy recruits? Are they going to hide behind the fact that the word "money" was never mentioned? You know, because he totally could have been talking about girl scout cookies.

All I heard was he's reinstated. Has the NCAA said anything yet? I'd think we don't really know yet what the NCAA is going to do. That said, I lost faith in the NCAA ever doing the right thing a long time ago. We get hammered for some players getting extra textbooks for their friends. Other teams can blatantly pay recruits. What I've learned is never admit to shite, even if they have evidence against you.

It's all based on reports though, not evidence. Meanwhile, Will Wade probably took a scorched Earth approach.

I fricking hate Will Wade's chubby arse. Dude has the most punchable face and he is a dirty prick. If LSU gets away with this and he continues to recruit likehe has in the past then we should say frick it and go all in as well.

The idealist in me wants us to stay far away from him and his opportunist family, but it's not as if there would be any consequences from an Alabama duffel bag full of cash magically appearing on their back porch in the middle of the night. There are actual paper trails, recordings, etc. tying other programs to pay for play schemes and nothing is going to happen to them.

It just seems that Alabama kids act like this more than kids from other states. I think since college sports are all that we have their heads get so big especially in football.

This diva, look-at-me mentality is not consistent with the type of mentality Oats has said he wants his players to have - program first, team first, servants of the University. To have that kind of mentality there has to be a level of humility and understanding that the world doesn't revolve around you. It also take a love and loyalty to the school you play for. Unfortunately that mindset is almost totally corrupted due to AAU ball and the current climate of college basketball recruiting. It's all about personal branding, what shoe deal will I get, what agent should I use, how fast can I get out of here and get to the NBA? Not saying that there will never be a 5* player that would be able to come in and play under a guy like Oats who insists that his players are unselfish, team-first guys, but the current basketball culture makes that more and more difficult to find those guys.

Let's just take a step back and remember that we are dealing with 17-18 year olds who likely have 0 PR experience.
No need to make sweeping generalizations and assumptions because he moved his announcement date back.

I doubt we go after another guard in this class
anyway unless someone leaves. Looks like we had one spot for a guard and Bolden was the first option over Cheatem or Beverly.

It be great if he desires last scholly CNO has but because of roster we now have I'm excited about potential of upcoming season. There'll probably be growing pains adjusting to new system but I feel certain we'll be peaking 2nd half of season. I wish fans would not worry whether Trendon comes or not. CNO will get a diamond for last spot. I want players who want to represent & win at Alabama.
