I don’t really care who all gets busted, as long as LSU gets hammered HARD. It’s the most obvious case of cheating I’ve seen in my lifetime with the most damning evidence against a HC ever. I also hope that LSU gets hammered harder because they reinstated Wade after all that. Mind-blowing that they didn’t cut bait then and get ahead of this.

There is no way AU let's that douche canoe Pat Forde claim a scoop on this.
If they do have one, I hope they ask for it to be reissued with a new time stamp just to give the bird to that guy

Follow the money, guys. The NCAA owns the rights to the basketball tournament, therefore, a HUGE chunk of their operating budget comes from March Madness. They know if they hammer Kansas and Arizona and LSU and any of those other marquee names, they are tearing chunks off their paycheck. Not to mention all the nastiness involved trying to clean it up. The NCAA is a morally bankrupt bureaucracy that is interested in what every bureaucracy is interested in: self preservation, a bigger budget, and doing things as inefficiently as possible. So to place this steaming elephant sized pile of shite on their plate and asking them to do something about it is like asking Hillary to endorse Trump: it ain't happening without threat of extermination. If they are serious about this, Kansas will be the first domino to unpleasantly fall. If they fold in the face of Kansas bowing up at the them, they are looking for a way to make this go away as quickly and quietly and painlessly as possible.

Kansas is screwed there are texts from Bill Self to guys at Adidas about getting players. The text conversations are available online to read.
text transcripts
Also text messages between Self and the same guy about securing Silvio De Sousa commitment the day before he committed to Kansas.

quote:
"In my mind, it's KU, Bill Self. Everyone else fall into line. Too (expletive) bad," Gassnola replied. "That's what's right for Adidas basketball. And I know I'm right. The more you have lottery picks and you happy. That's how it should work in my mind."
"That's how ur (sic) works. At UNC and Duke," Self replied.
Gassnola answered by saying Kentucky as well.
"I promise you I got this," Gassnola texted. "I have never let you down. Except (Deandre). Lol. We will get it right."
quote:
What that exchange features is Gassnola essentially promising Self that he'll help him land five-star prospects because Kansas is Adidas' biggest basketball program and what's good for Kansas is good for Adidas. Gassnola assures Self he will deliver because he's never previously let him down -- except for that time with Deandre Ayton, the five-star center who enrolled at Arizona, a Nike school, even though Gassnola paid one of Ayton's friends $15,000, according to testimony last week. And Self welcomes the help from Adidas because, he believes, North Carolina and Duke get similar help from Nike. So does Kentucky, Gassnola proclaims.

We are good to go
We will commit tomorrow

Gassnola, 11:07 p.m.: Great
Gassnola, 11:07 p.m.: I’ll follow up tomorrow
Townsend, 11:07 p.m.: Thank you
(De Sousa committed to Kansas on Aug. 30. The next day, Self had a five-minute phone conversation with Gatto from 4:21 to 4:26 p.m. Central time. This was during a time the FBI was wiretapping Gatto.”

LSU had better eventually get hammered for all the stuff they have Will Wade on wiretap talking about.
A refresher
Book Richardson also testified that Wade told him that he paid Naz Reids family 300,000 for him to commit to LSU.
A refresher
quote:
Wade: “I was thinking last night on this (Javonte) Smart thing. I’ll be honest with you, I’m [expletive] tired of dealing with the thing. Like I’m just [expletive] sick of dealing with the [expletive]. Like, this should not be that [expletive] complicated.”
Wade: “Dude. I went to him with a [expletive] strong-arse offer about a month ago. [Expletive] strong.
Wade: “The problem was, I know why he didn’t take it now, it was [expletive] tilted toward the family a little bit. It was tilted toward taking care of the mom, taking care of the kid. Like it was tilted towards that. Now I know for a fact he didn’t explain everything to the mom. I know now, he didn’t get enough of the piece of the pie in the deal.”
Dawkins: “Hmmmm.”
Wade: “It was a [expletive] hell of a [expletive] offer. Hell of an offer.”
Dawkins: “Okay.”
Wade: “Especially for a kid who is going to be a two- or three-year kid.”
According to Yahoo! Sports reporting, the FBI has call logs showing three calls by Dawkins to Wade between June 19, 2017, and June 30, 2017. Smart publicly committed to LSU on June 30, 2017, via Twitter.
Book Richardson also testified that Wade told him that he paid Naz Reids family 300,000 for him to commit to LSU.

I mean realistically LSU should be hammered so hard the program takes a decade or longer to recover. Like 10 scholarships over 3 years and severe recruiting restrictions to the point that they have to field teams of mostly walk ons for 3 or 4 years. There aren't just one or two kids on that roster who got 6 figure signing bonuses. I expect nothing to happen though. The NCAA isn't going to do shite. That's what they get for spending decades of not only giving no credit for cooperation, but in many cases hammering programs for self-reported stuff though. Now everyone lawyers up and tells them to shove it.

Had the same feeling when we lost to Arkansas at home in Avery's first year. Thought we had a chance to make the tournament after blowing it to Mississippi State at home, then lost that game. To make matters worse, Terrance Ferguson decommitted the day prior. That week of school fricking sucked.

If they (the ncaa) dont put Wade out of coaching, there is no way we can compete with that cheating cesspool of a program. You cannot compete with strong arse offers.

I will NEVER get my hopes up for Alabama basketball in February/March again until we prove the softness of this program is gone

Was listening to Jordan Harpers podcast last night and he blames the fans for a some of Alabama's troubles I'll quote what he said, you can find the podcast on spotify, it's called the Double Dribble podcast
Thoughts?
He also said Byrne and the administration was a big problem, and Coleman obviously.

Alabama's basketball fans are some of the harshest fans I've encountered, in terms of social media, in terms of how they take loses and how hard they are on the team. The are Fair weather. Every time they lose a game it's "same ole Bama."

Stop losing at home to bad teams 3-5 times every season and it won't be a problem anymore. When you lose at home to the worst program in major college basketball over the last couple of seasons when your season is on the line no shite the fans are going to be harsh and roll their eyes about the "same ole Bama". I mean what do you expect? People to be all "it's fine guys, we still love you even though you once again half assed it for 40 minutes and cost yourselves a shot at the tournament". Like, I'm not going to go on social media and personally attack any of the players, but at the end of the day they lose just as many games from being a bunch of lazy, weak minded pussies as they do because their opponent is simply a better team. If you lose because your opponent is just better than you are, it is what it is and people should not go after the players or coaches for that. If you lose because you got out-hustled or because you choked and blew a big lead then you deserve 100% of the criticism you receive.
